Room was fine for the price. Pool. No hot tub. Remodeled lobby is certainly different. Breakfast was on time and not a nightmare
But what kills absolutely anything positive about this hotel is the absolutely insulting customer service at this location. We have had to stay at this hotel twice now. The first time we just thought we were a youth sports group that caught them on a bad weekend. But twice? That’s not a bad weekend, that’s just having terrible employees in general.
We stay at hotels year round, and aside from one Marriot in a different state, I’ve never seen a hotel staff actively have contempt for their guest at the most basic requests.
Hotel that allows pets? But your pets can’t walk through the lobby. 4 pillows in the room with 2 beds and need a couple more? Sorry you can have 1. Book a baby shower, what appears to be a funeral reception, a youth sports team, and actively showing the hotel to a prospective buyer on the same weekend then get pissed because kids are in your common areas? Sounds well thought out.
If you don’t want kids in your hotel stop booking youth sports teams with block rates.

Booked a 3 night stay on a business trip and checked in on the Hilton app the day before arriving. The app did not allow me to choose a room. Upon arriving, the room assigned was a handicapped accessible room. It didn’t appear as though the hotel was full, so prior to doing anything to the room I asked to be moved. I was told this was not possible.
The location of the hotel is fine, there are a few restaurants and a gas station within walking distance. However, it is far from Kansas City’s downtown and stadiums. And besides the few restaurants and movie theater, you will be driving to your destination. It is on an interstate, so there is easy access to other parts of the city.
The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean upon first inspection, but less noticeable areas needed to be scrubbed. The biggest issue was an orange fungus in the corners of the shower. While there was plenty of desk space, I didn’t have a convenient dresser to store my clothes. As such, I had to get creative where they were stored during the stay. As it was a handicapped accessible room, the ironing board was tiny as well. It is also my understanding that this hotel was recently renovated. However, the main bedroom did not appear to be touched. The bathroom did receive upgrades, however the sink and faucet were offset with the bathroom mirror making using the sink a bit awkward. The Samsung TV was large and easy to use.
The area felt safe in general. It is a bit isolated without large population centers near it.
The service provided was terrible and the worst part of the stay. As mentioned before, the front desk would not accommodate my request to change rooms. I am the highest rewards tier with Hilton and was not given or offered the complimentary welcome bag of snacks and water. I asked for two additional pillows and was given one. A comment made by the woman giving it implied that I should feel lucky to get even that. My room received no turndown service over the 3 night stay. Overall, it was was a disappointing stay.
This hotel would be good for a quick, one night stay if you are passing through the area. The room was comfortable and fairly clean, plus the area seemed safe. However, find somewhere else to stay if you are planing on a multiple night visit due to the lackluster service. I will be.
