  Love this hotel, my go to in Kansas City, close to everything, clean rooms, excellent service and the food is amazing. Meredith at the bar is fantastic, attentive, professional, and makes the best old fashioned ever! This hotel has a ton of regulars for a reason you won’t be upset staying here.

  The rooms are updated, with a minor exception to the bathrooms. Any pitfall to the hotel itself is more than compensated for by the exceptional service of Murphy the bartender.

  This is my second visit to Kansas City and I made a point to return to Embassy suites at Overland Park. I absolutely love the experience. Their bartender Murphy is outstanding… a gem. She kept my group engaged and amused and well fed. I will definitely be back. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious.

  We stayed here for a full week and overall had a good experience. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was a standout — the made-to-order omelets were excellent, and the chefs were amazing. The breakfast buffet itself was impressive, with plenty of options including bagels, cereal, fruit, waffles, and more. I also really appreciated that coffee was always available in the lobby. Another great perk was the nightly happy hour. we received two free drinks each night, and the dinner options were genuinely delicious. The hotel has a gym and an indoor pool, which was convenient, and the gym even had a filtered water station, which was a great touch. The lobby and reception area are beautiful, modern, and very welcoming. Staff was also quick to respond whenever I requested additional items like towels, toilet paper, or tissues. There were a few maintenance-related concerns worth noting. The bathrooms near the pool and gym had an unpleasant odor and weren’t as clean as expected, though the restrooms throughout the rest of the hotel were very well kept and modern. Our room itself was comfortable but slightly outdated, and there was noticeable condensation on the windows throughout our stay. At checkout, we noticed what looks to be mold around the window (photos attached). I experienced significant allergy symptoms during the week, and while it’s difficult to say whether that was due to the weather or this issue, it’s something that should be looked into. We also noticed damage near the bathtub in the bathroom (photo attached). Additionally, there appear to be some plumbing issues. you could hear water draining in both the entryway and bathroom, and the toilet required the handle to be held down for several seconds in order to fully flush. Overall, this property has great bones, excellent service, and strong amenities. I do believe building management should consider investing in room renovations and addressing ongoing maintenance concerns. I also hope the employees continue to be properly supported and compensated, as they clearly work hard to provide a positive guest experience.

  Although this hotel is on the older side, all of our rooms were good. We had our family members stay here for the wedding. Christine, Shantay and Brent at the front desk were absolutely wonderful to work with. They provided great service with some humor and helped all of our family get comfortable. Ask for Meredith at the bar- great drinks, great suggestions and wonderful service. We all enjoyed our dinner at the Embassy restaurant. Loved the charcuterie board, pork chops, pasta and burgers. The pool and hot tub were clean and the fitness room met our needs. We'd stay there again.
