- DSDesiree Sherbundy5 days ago1.0My family had 2 rooms with confirmation numbers for 2 nights stay for an event. We called that day to let them know we would be coming in very late, 3am and I said we could prepay for our rooms but they insisted it was fine and we could pay when we checked in. I knew something was up. When we got into town we were informed they gave our rooms away. They found us rooms at another hotel and said it would be paid for. It wasn't. We paid $620 for 4 hours at the other hotel because my family had nowhere to go. There was no rooms available the next night and we had to go over 30min out of town to find a room and paid $350 for 1 room for 1 night. 5 weeks has gone by and the manager and owner have pushed me off and done nothing to slightly compensate for their error. Being it was a very busy weekend they made lots of money on whoever they gave our room away to though because I'm sure they didnt get the rate we did reserving our room months in advance. Shady business I wouldn't recommend counting on them if you need a room even if you have the confirmation number in hand.

- TSTravis SparksNov 2, 20252.0I know there was a KU game while I stayed but still way over priced. The king room barely had enough room to walk around the bed. No place to put luggage for more than 1 person. The shower floor had brown adhesive/glue on it that looked like someone used it for a toilet. Beyond that, the room appeared clean. The walls are paper thin so expect to hear people walking up and down the hallway and the tvs at night. Also, the room doors slam shut so was constantly woken up by others throughout the night and early morning. If IKEA made a hotel, this would be it. I’ll be back to Lawrence but won’t be staying here or recommending it.
