Was really looking forward to a pre-paid room for a work trip. Boss reserved and confirmed. Supposed to be a “nice” hotel. Well check in was a nightmare because apparently can only check in through the app. I had to call boss to check in. He did and then sent screenshots of confirmation. Still a no go.. After 20 min got the room key with a promise that if the check in was still not updated by 8 I’d have to come back to front desk to fix it. And at 8 I got the call it was still not finalized. Called boss again.. he sent me more receipt/confirmation/virtual check in screenshots. Still not received in their system. Ended up having to pay for incidentals with my own card bc front desk REFUSED to run card on file. Also had to email back and forth said screen shots and they are sending ANOTHER SEPARATE email for boss to authorize card on file, but that won’t be sent to him until morning! Also, the elevator light was out and the baseboards were all torn off all down the hallways. NEEDLESS to say I’m very disappointed! So is the boss.

The staff were incredibly kind. Especially the man who kept the breakfast area in tip top shape. The biggest problem was when we were leaving I pulled the sheets off of the pull out mattress and there was red stains ALL OVER IT. I wish I would have taken a picture. Room 316. The bathtub also had a stain and would not drain at all. Gross to stand in dirty water. The pool is quite literally falling apart. We traveled with a group who agree that this hotel needs a serious deep clean and update. There was a massive cereal spill in the hallway that was left all weekend. The place just kinda felt dirty. The pool area was not kept up with. Which made me even more skeptical to let my children swim in the chemical pool. Their hair felt like straw afterwards. We stayed at the Tru down the road last time. That’s where we will take next time. Beautiful lobby. Wonderful breakfast. Kind front desk staff and the kind man who ran breakfast. As soon as you leave the lobby? Good luck.

Everyone was absolutely hospitable. Room was clean. Got a suite and had ample space. Bedroom separate from everything else. Phil served breakfast. Sweetest guy ever. Always hot and fresh food for the whole serving time. Marcia checked us in. We stayed a week, but she became a friend quickly. Totally feel at home. Glad we stayed here.
