We were greeted warmly upon arrival. Qe were not thanked for being rewards members. Once we got to the room, this is where the problems begun. The room was freezing. Discovered that room was set on AC. In December, none the less.Room was also very small, perhaps because of being on an end. All the front desk could offer was an apology (which was appriciated) and extra blankets. Took 4 hours for the room to finally heat up.Uncalled for. There is also not enough light in the room. If you have some sort of central switch, please make note of that in the room. We were disappointed to find out that there was no microwave or coffee maker in the room, let alone an ice bucket or trash cans. We had brought our own food to save money. We were told about a microwave in the breakfast area, but who wants to go from the 4th floor to the main floor heat up food? Also discovered that the bedside lamp was unplugged. Still would not work once plugged back in. The next morning it was discovered that the fridge was unplugged. Please train your housekeeping staff to check for these things before the next guest checks in. Overall, a very disappointing stay. However it was quiet, which was good. Breakfast offerings were decent. As Silver Reward Members, we should have been offered the bottled water. We were not. We will not be back.

We decided to stay here because all the other Tru hotels we’ve been to have been good. Of course the lobby is welcoming. I think they have one of the best lobbies in a hotel. Trust me, I’ve been to so pretty swanky hotels but this one has things to do for just about anyone. They have a pool table and a lot of seating areas. I love the coffee bar. It’s just a really nice lobby. We walked into our room. We could tell that the room was clean before you could smell the bleach and cleaners that were used. I do not mind that smell because that means it’s been cleaned! The whole entire room was clean. Yes it is basic but for the price for a one night stay, it is great! We haven’t slept yet, as it’s 10pm but I’m sure it’ll be a nice nights sleep. It’s very relaxing and quiet too…. so far. No they do not have a coffee maker or microwave in the room but that’s all in the lobby. However, they do have a mini refrigerator which is nice to have for our drinks we brought with us. Overall, Tru here in Auburn IN seems to be a nice one.

We recently stayed at the Tru by Hilton in Auburn, Indiana, and had a wonderful experience from start to finish! The hotel has a fresh, modern vibe that feels bright and welcoming the moment you walk through the doors. The lobby is clean, colorful, and designed for comfort. Perfect for relaxing, working, or enjoying a cup of coffee. Our room was spotless and thoughtfully designed, with a great balance of style and function. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated the extra touches like ample outlets, good lighting, and a spacious shower. Everything felt updated and well-maintained. The complimentary breakfast was another highlight lots of variety, fresh options, and a fun, casual atmosphere. The staff deserves special mention too; they were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Whether you’re in town for business, visiting nearby attractions, or just passing through, the Tru hotel in Auburn is an excellent choice. We will definitely stay here again!
