The woman at the front desk named *tracy* is VERY racist and prejudice at this location. While I was hanging out in the lobby I over heard her calling the cops on a man who was clearly a guest at the hotel, all for sitting in his car waiting for his wife. She proceeded to call the man a thug all because of the way he looked. Words were exchanged and cops ended up kicking them out, the families kids were traumatized by the experience and hysterically crying.

WARNING CUSTOMERS OF HAMPTON INN OF HOFFMAN ESTATES, DO NOT SIT INSIDE YOUR PARKED VEHICLE ON THE PREMISES OF THE PROPERTY OF HAMPTON INN, YOU CAN AND WILL BE TARGETED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR SUSPICION OF CRIMINAL ACTIVITY AND FORGET ABOUT COMPLAINING TO THE MANAGEMENT THEY ARE THE ONES WHO CALL HER NAME IS TRACY!!! What was supposed to be a fun swimming night for my 3 daughters (4,5,6 year old’s) turned into a nightmare instead, and all within the first 3 hours of checking into the hotel. It all begins with the intrusive officer knocking on my driver side window with his flashlight as I was texting, to ask me what I was doing here, I showed him the keycard to the door and asked him if I could help him with anything and his reply was “YEAH, identification, address, phone number” and I told him that I was a registered guest at the hotel and that I haven’t committed any criminal act that would require me to give him my identity and he became instantly irate and then told me to “Take it inside because this area is a high drug/prostitution activity spot frequented by dope dealers and pimps” The attendant Tracy said that we were going in and out of the vehicle too much which caused her to call the police on us, and because of me having the audacity of confronting the situation my 4,5,6 year old daughters, my wife, and myself were retaliated against and were all booted from the establishment. I Didn’t know that was a crime in America to sit inside of your car reading a text. Initially I went to the front desk to speak with the attendant Tracy and make a complaint to management about the incident that occurred in the parking lot outside the hotel with the Hoffman Estates police officer and to my surprise he was there with Tracy and instantly sided with the police officer and then escalated the situation very unprofessionally and humiliated my family and I and made My Wife and Three Daughters and Myself leave the hotel, as well as weaponizing the police against us by threatening to trespass us from the hotel all while after withdrawing the funds from my account. She had the police watch us packing up our belongings until the the last sock. Most demoralizing and dehumanizing experience of my entire existence and my poor family and kids who’ve never been treated in this manner before. All thanks to Tracy for ruining a great weekend!

BEWARE OF BIAS FRONT DESK STAFF TRACY!!! Extremely Disappointing and Unacceptable Treatment!!!!!!! This was our fourth time staying at the Hampton Inn in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. We have stayed here multiple times in the past specifically because it’s convenient to take our three daughters swimming during the winter. Unfortunately, this visit was so upsetting that we will never return, and I feel obligated to warn other families. We checked in around 4:00 PM with no issues. Shortly after, my boyfriend went to our car to grab our daughter’s pool floaties and goggles. While doing so, a police officer approached him, shined a flashlight into the car window, and questioned him about why he was there inside of his own vehicle, despite the fact that we were registered hotel guests. He was asked for his ID for simply going to his own car. This felt completely unnecessary and inappropriate!!! My boyfriend returned to the hotel, clearly shaken by the interaction. We went to the front desk to calmly address what had happened because we felt harassed and singled out. During the conversation, my boyfriend spoke loudly—not aggressively, just loudly, which is how he naturally talks when he’s upset.( which was fully recorded by me) Instead of attempting to de-escalate or listen to our concerns as guests, the front desk lady shouted with anger for us to immediately leave. There was no effort to understand the situation, no professionalism, and no respect shown to us as paying guests. The entire experience felt discriminatory and hostile, especially given that we have stayed here multiple times without issue. What was supposed to be a fun family night turned into an embarrassing and stressful situation in front of our children. We felt judged, unwelcome, and unfairly treated. I would strongly caution families and couples against staying here. If this is how loyal, returning guests are treated, I can’t imagine how first-time guests might feel. No family should ever feel targeted, judged, or criminalized while staying at a hotel they paid to be in — especially when children are present! I believe this incident warrants further review by hotel management and corporate leadership. The involvement of law enforcement, combined with the immediate escalation by hotel staff and the lack of any clear justification, raises serious concerns about how guests are treated and how decisions are made at this property.

Property was comfortable and they have a hot breakfast. There is a lady named Tracy who works the front desk that will regulate everything and will wipe a smile right off your vacation. She is a very unhappy person everyday sadly. I really thought maybe she is prejudice. I can’t believe they allow her to work here in a place of hospitality. I am actually on property while writing this because she has brought me to feeling like this is the best way to get the attention of the brand. The staff are aware of her but just apologize for her that is how sad it is. P.S After writing this I had to go back and see if someone had experienced this or if I was the only one. There are numerous accounts of her name being mentioned in a very bad way. Someone should have done something by now as my company and myself would have never been exposed to her. Tracy is something bad reviews are made of. I hope she gets help.
