We stayed here for one night with our dog while visiting a local Chicago dog rescue. I picked this hotel because I was able to get a discounted rate through my employer. Plus we have stayed in Hilton hotels in the past and had great experiences. I wish I could say this was great. The staff were very friendly, upon checking in and while taking our dog in and out for potty times. That’s about where the pros end. The room was…meh. We booked a king room and it lacked luster. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the pillows ridiculously flat and overall muggy. We left the next morning with back and shoulder pain. I also have not stayed in a hotel that does not provide fresh travel shampoo and conditioner…..this hotel has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion for repeat use…..um no thanks…..how am I supposed to know if the guest before put something in those bottles. The coffee machine in room was a joke…a half functioning Keurig. The TV was probably 10 years old. On top of that $22 to park and paid breakfast? All and all will not return to this hotel when we come back to the Chicagoland area (we are originally from Chicago and this is a disappointment). Will pay a bit more for a room, free breakfast and cheaper parking at a hotel that has been consistent in every state we’ve been in.

This hotel is running a scam and stealing money. Our stay was fine, but then we noticed an unexplained $300 charge on our credit card. When I inquired via text, the response was "fee due to smoking/vaping activity triggered in-room sensor. " This is impossible during our stay, because we don't smoke or vape. It's impossible to speak to a manager. We were told the GM wouldn't be on site until "maybe next week." Also asked for a receipt emailed to me, which was never sent. This false smoking fee seems to be a common occurrence in a lot of reviews I have read about this location across various sites.

Just wanted to thank Alicia P for getting me back my mouth guard that I left there. That was very kind thank you. The location is great. Theres good food options all around. Easy on and off getting to Chicago. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. A lot of grassy area and a sidewalk to walk your dogs. Large parking lot as well that could accomodate a rv or trailer if you needed a nice place for a pitstop.

The staff were very nice, they let us check in 2 hours early which was convenient. The breakfast, that we naively thought was free, was not great. They tried to charge $17 for a plain waffle so I thought I could save money and not order anything off the hot food menu and just get some fruit from the breakfast bar. They charged me $22 just for my partner and I to eat 2 tiny bowls of grapes and then had the nerve to ask for a tip. Never have I been so upset with hotel breakfast. Not only could I not even enjoy waffles without paying too much money, but I couldn't even eat grapes without my wallet being harvested. They also charge $22 per day for parking, which was mildly annoying but whatever, every place in the city makes parking a nightmare. I was happy that the pool and hot tub were clean and empty every time my partner and I went for a dip so I didn't have to think about people staring at us.

Disappointed by Billing Follow-Up I stayed at this hotel recently and overall had a pleasant experience—clean room, friendly staff, and a convenient location. However, I was disappointed by how a small billing issue was handled. After checkout, I noticed a $6 charge for water bottles I never used. I called the hotel, and they acknowledged the mistake and assured me the charge would be reversed. Unfortunately, despite that conversation, the charge still went through. It’s not about the $6—it’s about trust and follow-through. When a business says they’ll correct an error, I expect that promise to be honored. I hope this was just an oversight, but it left me feeling let down as I am a rewards member and have always had good experiences
