We did an overnight with 2 adults and 1 kid. We had a 2 queen bed corner suite. The room was clearly "quickly" cleaned and has not been properly cleaned in some time. One of the windows had a glob of unknown substance on it. The door handle to the room was actually sticky when we first arrived as well. I had to use a wet wipe to clean it. One of the towles had a hair on it. Luckily it was one night so we just sucked it up and moved on. True - we could have contacted the front desk but after a long day of activities we just wanted to sit down. Breakfast was good for a hotel in my opinion. Lacking pancakes or a waffle maker tho. Also the coffee was TERRIBLE. And the lobby was out of coffee almost the entire 24 hours we were there. The location was good for what we needed- I would say skip the valet and save yourself some money by parking in the lot directly across the street. It's literally just a walk out the front door. Overall okay - but we will find a new place to stay if we are ever in Chicago again.

Date stayed: 12/28 - 12/30/25 Room Booked: 2 Queen Corner Suite (Rm 1516) Pros: + Views are fantastic (at least the ones facing Grant Park are and are at least above floor 10), with floor to ceiling windows + Very close to Roosevelt station - access to red, green, and orange lines + Lots of room (no exact sq ft, probably around 500-600 sq ft) + Nice looking pool + hot tub (hot tubs seem to be increasingly rare these days!) + TV has built in Chromecast that was easy to set up and can easily be connected to a computer via HDMI Cons: - The attention to detail from housekeeping / management - our room was just completely missing a lamp in the living room and we had to call front desk, who didn't believe us until they sent engineering over and engineering confirmed that there was a lamp missing. Unfortunately they didn't have any new lamps so they had to give us a lamp with a broken base, hence one of the photos. Housekeeping also missed that both Shampoo and hand soap were empty before we checked in - Room already showing some wear and tear (ceiling of shower had chunks missing, shower head was loose, couch cushions not in best shape) - Felt like staff was overworked for the amount of rooms - front desk sometimes never responded to chat on the app, and was placed on hold for ~5 mins when calling about the lamp issue - Breakfast layout could be better - very cramped quarters in the "buffet" area (also breakfast buffet only contained 3 hot items - some sort of egg dish, a sausage dish, and a potato or biscuit dish, all of them the frozen-and-steamed type of food) and had no waffle makers - Room advertised "Dual vanity", but there is only 1 sink, and sink is outside of the toilet/shower room (could be a pro for some)

Hotel staff entered my room twice while away. The first time I came back and the “master” light switch they have was off, the heater was off, tv was on and the do not disturb sign was on the floor inside the unit. I had placed it outside the door before leaving. I brought it up to the front desk and they made a note. The second time similar problems. The “master” light switch was off again and the tv was on. We were not in the unit all day. If you stay here I guess just don’t bring anything of value. The hotel itself was in good working order. The room was clean and we had enough space. Due to the problems of staff entering rooms without asking is enough for me to never stay again.

Reliable and comfortable stay with a practical, homey feel. Rooms are spacious with kitchenettes, which makes a big difference if you are staying more than a night or like having the option to make simple meals. The overall vibe is calm and residential rather than hotel busy. Service feels friendly and attentive, and check-in/check-out moves smoothly. The location in the South Loop is convenient to the lake, museums, and downtown without being right in the noisiest part of the city.

One of the worst check-in experiences I’ve ever had. We were told check in was at 4:00pm, we arrived at the hotel at 4:00 and was then told our check in would be in about 45 minutes(10+ people were also waiting for their rooms) The hotel said they would call us and update the app when our room was ready. Mind you, this is after having a full day exploring the Shedd with a 5 and 3 year old, we were really looking forward to our room to unwind. We decided to get an early dinner because we needed somewhere to go. At dinner we got NO phone call, NO text update -it was 5:45…. We tried calling the hotel for at least 15 minutes to get an update and no one answered. We decided to go look at Xmas lights because again we didn’t have any update. We finally got an update from the hotel that our room was ready at 6:30. Hotel room was subpar, feee breakfast was okay- no coffee available at breakfast or even at the front desk. Save the headache and stress and choose a different hotel
