Recently I have booked a room at this hotel. After I had my flight cancelled, I sent a message to the staff, informing them of this. However, when I arrived, they told me the reservation had been cancelled, and they couldn't do anything about it. I explained the situation to them, and I was told they wouldn't do anything to help, and said I should sort everything out with the Booking platform. Horrible, entitled staff.

First of all, I would love to meet whomever gave this hotel a 5 star rating. All the 1 star ratings on here are absolute truth. If I can give this hotel a zero rating, I would. The ONLY good thing during my stay was the maintenance guy who showed up to my room because there was no hot water. The microwave was filthy, like it hasn’t been cleaned in who knows how long. There was no hot water. There were holes in the bed sheets. The mattress itself was dirty. The bathroom doesn’t close fully. I had to fight just to get the curtains to close. This place was so bad that even my floor lamp didn’t work properly. It just flickered when you turn it on. There was hair in the bathroom. Oh and let’s not forget I didn’t have room service NOT ONCE during my stay, even though the day room service is every other day. The floor when you first walk into the hotel was dirty for days. I couldn’t wait to check out. I ended up going to a different hotel. I don’t know if this review would change anything, but this place needs an overhaul.

Breakfast:
The only saving grace from our trip. Kitchen staff did a wonderful job keeping everyone fed and dining area clean.
Front desk staff:
Front desk staff did not relaying requests for house keeping. Desk said there were no extra blankets in the whole hotel (it's December in Chicago and cold, why is housekeeping so bare bones? Reoccurring issue during our stay). Generally extremely rude to my partner when we had called (we called Wednesday 12/24 in the morning). We can be certain this member of staff did not relay our request because we saw housekeeping in our hallway that morning and they never stopped by our room.
Housekeeping:
As a result housekeeping didn't come until our last full day (Saturday) when we had initially checked in on Tuesday of the same week. A full FOUR days when policy states every other day. They only stopped by our room because we had to call the front desk again for service. This time the desk attendant was much more amenable and said they would contact the housekeeping manager.
Once housekeeping came we asked for our original request from Wednesday, extra towels. The attendant said she only had 1 towel to spare as she had 20 rooms to visit and a very slim amount of towels. I don't blame the attendant at all but this begs the question- why housekeeping is so bare bones at this hotel?
There were also large bleach stains all over the hallway leaving a bad first impression. Photos attached.
This stay did not live up to any basic standards of hospitality we should expect from a Hilton and we were extremely disappointed by the whole situation. We won't be staying here again much less other offshoots of the Hilton brand. The quality has gone down ridiculously. It was our fault for straying from Marriott in the first place.

This was the worst experience I ever had in a hotel. I am usually the person that doesn't complain since I have been exposed to certain conditions being in the military. However the room garbage can was full when I checked in. The weather here in Chicago was in the 20's yet I had to go more then 8 hours without heat, and without hot water. I was bundle up like I was outside training. The parking lot they direct you to is greater than 3 block and its not a straight path. I found a parking lot for the same price a half block away. The breakfast was horrible. There isn't a good selection and they put out frozen boil eggs and I do mean frozen it was hard and solid. The customer service rep at the guest counter made sure to let me know I was a problem for her when I asked her to reactivate my card so I can get back upstairs at 0730hrs. I have never been to a hotel that deactivated my guess card in the morning. I check to make sure it was deactivated by trying the card I left in the room on the door and it was deactivated. It's embarrassing to get on the elevator with the attempt to return to your room and your card doesn't allow you access to the button on the elevator around other guess. This wasn't a good selection.
