A recurring problem throughout the stay was the number of guests moving through the common areas in pajamas, very short shorts, sagging loungewear, bonnets, and other clothing that would commonly be viewed as inappropriate for a hotel lobby. This was especially noticeable at BREAKFAST and in the elevator banks, where the environment at times felt more like a dormitory than a Hilton‑branded business hotel. For a downtown Chicago property near the financial district and Fulton Market, the absence of any visible expectations for guest attire in public spaces was striking and diminished the professional atmosphere the building’s design and branding are clearly trying to project. Update after full stay: A person at front desk had an attitude. Water should have been placed in the room instead of asking everytime at front desk. Most of the front desk people behaved like they are doing a favour by giving a water bottle. Need more variety breakfast across days. Room lights are very dim and inefficient for reading or doing work (a small bulb near TV is not suitable for writing/reading on table). No light in opposite side/corner of window. More spread out water flow and bigger shower is required, water flow is about 50% of required, even when compared with showers from other peer/competitor hotels. Coffe/water available 24/7 in common area was lukewarm. no weighing scale in gym.
