Was a decent hotel, however the front desk did not disclose that they include a mandatory destination fee of $25 per night, plus tax for every night you stay. This ended up tacking on nearly $100 more to the stay than what was led on to believe when booking through a third party. Had they would’ve told me it was required and which amenities it covered, I would have taken advantage of the amenities and wouldn’t have had an issue with the fee. But they didn’t, so beware.

I stayed here with my dog and this was an awesome location! We were able to walk to Lincoln park and they were plenty of other dogs around and many of the coffee shops let us come inside to get coffee. The rooms are super nice and the lobby was super cozy. When booking I didn’t pay attention to the destination fee but this is pretty standard across Hilton and Marriott so just make sure you use it on coffee in the morning in the lobby :)
Parking wise, if you don’t need in and out privileges you can go on SpotHero and find one within a five minute walk for 20 bucks overnight

Solid mid-range hotel with a quiet, residential feel. The location is convenient, close to the lake and within walking distance of shopping, dining, and museums. The building has a classic look and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Not flashy or high end, but comfortable and functional.
Service is generally friendly and efficient, and the vibe feels more relaxed than many downtown hotels. A good choice if you want a comfortable base without paying luxury prices. Not memorable, but perfectly fine for a city stay.

I’m not going to lie most of the hotel staff is extremely stand off-ish and rude. The only decent staff member that made my whole trip the best, was Issac, the bar guy. He really made me and all of the friendly other hotel people I met; experience the best time it was a hoot all 5 days! we even extended our stay just to see Issac again and because of the atmosphere he created.
We almost did not extend our stay at this hotel because the front desk and other bartenders were extremely rude during our stay, but it was worth ignoring them and to stay because we had so much fun at the bar with Isaac, he needs a raise because if it wasn’t for him, we were thinking about calling Hilton to complain about this hotel. That’s how bad the staff‘s attitude was.
This location was so great and the hotel was great, I liked that it had so many Christmas attractions and Christmas bars within walking distance.

I stayed at the Claridge House the week of November 17th and it was by far one of the worst Hilton hotels I have ever stayed at. I have been a long time Hilton member, and stayed at many Tapestry Collection hotels and this hotel is NO WHERE near the Hilton standards I am used to. To start the week I was placed in room 1114. The elevators are tiny and slow, but the hallways are dingy and dark. The carpeting is stained and it feels dirty and grimy. The room might be one of the smallest rooms I have ever been placed in. There isn't a closet it was just a bar to hang clothes on. The lamp was falling off the stand, no room to put a suitcase, and 0 countertop space. Later that week I was moved to room 505 which while bigger might have been worse. DO NOT LET ANYONE put you in this room. There is no view, and by no view I mean when you open the windows you stare at 4 brick walls and some filthy stairs. No light to the outside world its like you live in a box. There were dirty tissues by the bed from the last person, and the TV is so far away from the bed its like you are stealing someone's television from a different apartment. Not to mention the volume on the TV was horrible it had to be turned up almost all the way to hear it. The heater is one of the those old wall heaters that is loud and broke so maintenance was in there for awhile fixing that and none of the outlets in the bathroom worked. The only decent thing about this hotel is the location. You can get to Michigan Ave and great eateries within a short walk. Do better Hilton this was a complete waste of my points on this hotel.
