The "restaurant" situation is a joke. This is not a restaurant at all. It is essentially a grab and go. They were refusing to cook my son food he could eat with his allergies as they "couldn't do sides". The rest of our stay has went well. The location is nice, the rooms are nice. It’s a stretch to consider it a 4 star hotel. Service is poor no one wants to help.

This was my third & last stay & I have been a loyal gold member to Hilton for many years. I would review on Hiltons website yet the email link they sent to review was down on the fifth day. (email below) My last stay it was down on day four after my stay. I usually wait until I get home until I review & EVERY other hotel gives about two weeks or more. There are two hilton hotels (Canopy & Garden Inn) in the same building & I have stayed in both in a side room & my last in very small room with a paid view of the building next store. The side rooms were both Identical with the exception of price being the Canopy can be over $150 more for no reason at all except the bed being less then two feet off the floor, REALLY. I am 66 & getting out of bed is like crawling off the floor. The only reason for staying 3 times as it’s the only hotel within walking distance of Union Station. I will not make the mistake again as the service in either was not great & on my trip before last (Garden) it was horrible. There was A helicopter trying to replace the HVAC system @ 6am flying right next to my window & it almost crashed (I have the video)They have recently started to bring in “weekday conventions” as I was told to get more business & when I went to the bar/restaurant for dinner I was literally yelled at by an employee as I was on the wrong side of the invisible rope they had setup for there VIPS which was a real joke. The nice guy at the bar apologized & gave me a little extra to drink. I had paid extra for breakfast yet the first day they were cleaning up almost an hour before it’s supposed to end. The second day there were so many people & so little food as people were going crazy I was unable to get anything & They refused to refund my breakfast money. Nothing in either hotel is great especially being charged over $1,400 for 2 nights. I almost always stay @ Hilton in the US & while I haven’t tried all there brands I have been happy with every other hotel & I spend almost 70 days in hotels in the US & another 30-40 in US Territories as well as other countries & this is an outlier Hilton.

Nice restaurant and bar service. Beautiful, spacious room. The room cleaning services are impeccable, with the exception of October 22nd - the maid was aggressive, she scolded us for staying in the room until 10.30am and she could not clean it. Between 10.30 am and 1 pm the room was free, we did not stay in the room. The maid came around 1 pm and aggressively told us that if we didn't leave the room immediately, she wouldn't clean anymore. We left. We came back after 5 am, the coffee was missing, the milk also, the espresso machine, the mugs and glasses were dirty. Room 223 has a bad quality mattress, full of holes. I had spine surgery recently and this was not beneficial for me at all. The most serious problem was the vibrating noise that appears intermittently at night in the bedroom, after 10 pm and persists even in the morning. It is probably related to the vibrating water system. On the night of October 22-23, the noise became unbearable, at midnight we asked for a room where we could sleep. We were conditioned by the receptionist to bring proof that we completely empty the current room ( at midnight!) , in order to give us another place to sleep. We should mention the skeptical attitude of the reception staff regarding this noise, they didn't think it was real (because it was intermittent) even though I recorded it (they refused to listen to the recording). I wrote this review because I hope that the hotel management will take the measures that are required, because the hotel has a special charm

Extremely quiet in the room. Which is hard to come by anywhere in Chicago. Refillable water station on every floor. They can bring up ice if you ask for it. Accommodating staff. Bed not that comfortable

Went in to the cafe while spectating the Chicago marathon and despite the busy atmosphere the cafe staff were so kind and courteous. Got our order with no issues and it tasted great. Would recommend the cafe!
