Place was really clean. Great room layout for a king. The beds were comfy, and the rainfall from the shower head felt amazing. Convenient price to stay overnight after seeing a Broadway show! 🎭 I loved how the lights in the bathroom weren’t blinding. The chalkboard on the room door was really fun to mess around with, too. Would stay here again!

First time in Chicago with family, 3 marvelous days, and one thing that make it happen, was Acme hotel Company, great location, awesome staff, super well appointment rooms, nice bakery with well made coffee, and the Berkshire bar, perfect spot to finish the day. Overall, best place around!!!

This used to be one of our favorite hotels, but it seems every time we return it goes downhill. And of course, as luck would have it, our worst experience yet was when we brought guests with us.
Our check-in experience was underwhelming to say the least. We were rushed through the process even though no one else was waiting, and the staff at the front desk was very cold and indifferent. Definitely not the welcoming experience that we get when we stay other places. We were also disappointed to find that The Bodega was closed, with absolutely no explanation about why or when it would be back open again. The cable in our room was not working and when my husband called down to get help none was offered. We were told to use the guide, which wasn’t working and was the reason for our call. There was no offer to send someone up or to elaborate about the problem. (We later found out that the remote in our room is unlike the remotes and all the other rooms. Not sure if that was part of the problem or not, but it was a very frustrating experience to say the least.)
There’s also nothing in the room that tells you the hours of any of the on-site bars/eateries, how to use the cable, Wi-Fi passwords, etc.
We had asked about the parking credit when we checked in and were told it would be part of the checkout process. However, we forgot to ask about it at checkout and no parking credit was offered. If it’s an amenity, it should be a standard part of the process, we shouldn’t have to remember to ask.
The two good things that remain consistent about this location are the decor and the location. Beyond that, I’m not sure we will continue to stay here in the future.
Situated very close and walking distance to main attractions such as the Bean, art museum, and architecture river tours. It’s a quaint hotel with a vintage theme. The bed was comfortable but the room was a bit dark and had no view at all - just looking straight to a parking complex and another building. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay if you’re just going back there to sleep. Don’t expect a luxury experience, you’re not paying for that here. The reception staff did not exhibit the warm Chicago demeanour I experienced elsewhere in the city, so that was disappointing.
