Overall solid Hilton. Rooms on the bigger side with mini kitchenette things. Enjoyed our stay. Pool was out of commission and the AC didn't work in one of the rooms but it was 45 outside so 70-something in the room, it worked out fine. TV and phone in the other room we rented were both out of order so that wasn't great but we didn't need them so meh. Breakfast was cookie cutter Hilton reheat-and-serve Sysco commerical food. Not great.

Disappointing experience at this hotel. No shampoo in the shower (the bottle was actually missing) and the conditioner was empty also. When I brought this up with the hotel staff at check out they just shrugged and said they would tell the manager, who never followed up with me even though I am a Hilton Diamond member. He said I should have called for soap, but that is hard to do when you are naked in the shower. Front desk staff is not empowered at all to make accommodations for bad experiences which is a sign of poor management. I should have at least gotten an apology and maybe a few points since I left unable to shower or wash my hair properly. There are other better options in Champaign.

Stayed here a late night in to early morning. First of all I’m a Hilton employee. The room was very nice I loved our king suite my kids were also very happy. Unfortunately when I looked at my bank statement they had charged me nearly TRIPLE… my room rate was $45.20.. no big deal tack the incidental fee on brings it to $70.20…upon checking out I check my bank statements to make sure I wasn’t double charged.. yeahhh they charged me again $45.20… absolutely ridiculous.. I called up there, and tell me why they were arguing with me?.. absolutely unprofessional if I could get and entire refund for my stay or at least 50% refunded id be happy… but I know that more than likely won’t happen😒😒

We have stayed at this hotel at least 2x per year for the past 10 years or so and it has been clean, comfortable and safe every single visit. I dont even consider staying at another hotel when visiting Champaign. Plenty of parking, places to eat and stores nearby as well.

This hotel used to be great. It was my go-to option when visiting family in C-U. However, over the last year or two, things have gone downhill significantly.
The rooms always have issues that the staff seem unwilling or unable to address. This time, our room had a loose kitchen faucet that required 2 hands to operate, the toilet wobbled and the seat was barely attached and it didn't flush properly, the toilet paper holder was detached from the wall and laying on the ground, and the message light on our phones would blink red throughout the night even though we didn't have any messages. The HVAC system has issues, too. It was blazing hot in the hallway on the 4th floor but freezing on the 1st floor. Unfortunately, these issues have become commonplace.
Service has become a joke. We asked for additional pillows prior to check in and the front desk said they would deliver to our room but didn't (not the first time this has happened to us). Same experience when asking for additional toiletries, paper products, etc. I asked for a dish sponge and was told they didn't give those out and was instead given a washcloth (?!) to do dishes with. Breakfast is a debacle on busy days. The food is often cold and, during our most recent stay, they ran out of prepared food at the busiest time of the morning so there were 20 people waiting for eggs and bacon. It seemed like they were severely understaffed and one person was trying to do it all.
Oh, and they will charge you $6/night for self parking...in a public parking lot. The location is the only thing going for this hotel, especially with Espresso Royale right next door so you can get a great coffee instead of the swill the hotel serves.
We are so disappointed with what has happened to this hotel, which several people told us coincided with a change in management, that we now book elsewhere and only stay here as a last resort.
