Our Homewood Suites by Hilton Champaign-Urbana hotel is two blocks from the University of Illinois South Campus. We are walking distance to Assembly Hall and Memorial Stadium or short drive to the University of Illinois Research Park or Parkland Community College. Nearby Illinois attractions include: Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, Orpheum Children's Museum, Staerkel Planetarium, Alto Vineyards, Krannert Art Museum, numerous parks, some with water areas, others with playgrounds and walking paths. In the Champaign-Urbana area our hotel has an abundance of eateries to satisfy cravings from prime rib to custard waffle cones! There are many other restaurants a short drive from the hotel.
Our Homewood Suites by Hilton Champaign-Urbana hotel features 98 guest suites. All suites have a fully equipped kitchen, full sized refrigerator, stovetop cooking, microwave, dishwasher, coffee/coffee makers, two phones with data ports, high-speed internet access (wired and wireless), cable-HBO, iron/ironing boards, hair dryers, a complimentary Welcome Home reception every Wednesday evening, complimentary Hot Suite Start breakfast served daily, complimentary local calls, on-site laundry facility, complimentary grocery shopping service, snacks and sundry items are available in our 24 hour Suite Shop convenience store, 24-hour business center (services include copy, scan, fax, print and PC privileges), fitness center and meeting room.

- HTHeather ThompsonNov 3, 20252.0The location was great for our trip and the staff was very nice. Also, the lobby / breakfast area is large and can accommodate groups of people. That is the extent of the good things I can say. The pool was freezing. The kids wouldn't swim and that was a huge bummer. Breakfast on Sunday morning, only 1 person was trying to keep up with cooking, stocking forks etc and trash. The guests asked to get the waffle batter refilled and instead of doing that the employee took out the trash. 30 mins later still no waffles, no eggs, no sausage ham or bacon. These guests were stuck with cereal, yogurt and muffins. It was kind of a disaster. After waiting over 30 mins I asked the front desk for someone to please help this man in the kitchen. Only 10 mins of breakfast time was left at this point. The manager did come help and some things were put out, however, 10 am came, he shut the lights off. I felt like since so many people (even not included in our party) were waiting on food he could have stayed open for an extra amount of time. Anyway basically, I just feel like that employee needed help, he also needed to know what things were priorities. The trash can wait when food is empty and children are asking for waffles. My room was out of conditioner. I asked the manager to please bring me a bottle, gave name and room number. No conditioner. Bummer There was a pile of poop outside the hotel entrance for over 24 hours. This appeared to be human poop. It was disgusting. Also, the general manager Molly is very hard to get ahold of and the hotel sales rep Kelsey and her boss Kelly are not accommodating even when we booked 11 rooms for 2 nights. I wouldn't recommend this hotel unfortunately.

The breakfast here was great full of options. They had fresh coffee all throughout the night and day. Staff here were courteous, polite, and ready to be of service right away. Our linen and towels were spotless. The hygiene products offered for free were very good. They have a nice pool, exercise gym, outside lounging area with grills, and a basketball court. By the way, this hotel's location is perfect if you're doing anything University of Illinois related. We had stores and restaurants in walking distance.
