I stayed at the Hampton Inn Idaho Falls on September 1 and was very disappointed with the experience. At check-in, no registration card was signed and there was no disclosure about the bedding materials or products used — information that’s important for guests with sensitivities or health concerns. After contacting Hilton Corporate, I was told that since it was considered a health and safety concern, I needed to speak directly with the property. When I tried, the front desk agent was dismissive. Corporate later connected me with the manager, Jan, who unfortunately made the entire situation about what I should have done rather than asking how the property could have handled things better. After driving over 14 hours and arriving physically exhausted, being told it was “my issue” for not discussing bedding preferences with the night auditor — who hadn’t even verified my ID at check-in — was frustrating and unprofessional. This property needs to do better in training, guest communication, and overall accountability.

Disappointing Stay at Hampton Inn Idaho Falls at the Mall.-Avoid at all costs. We recently booked 4 nights stay at this Hotel and after waking up at 2 am the first night, we decided that we couldn't endure another night. When we first arrived we couldn't find the entrance because of remodeling. After walking around the hotel and not finding a way in, we called and received instructions where the make shift entrance was. We had booked a king size bed, non-smoking. When we finally got to our room, to our surprise, it was a room with 2 queen beds. My husband is 6'4" and this would not work. When I called down they informed me that because I had booked through a 3rd party that it must have been their fault. I said no because it is right here on our reservation-king bed, no smoking. When I asked if we could move rooms, I was told that they didn't have any king rooms available. I told them I would check back with them. I intended to call another hotel for reservations. Within less than 5 minutes they called me back and said that they 'found' a king room and we proceeded to the room. When we got to the 2nd room, it was very dark, not clean and fresh feeling and the TV wouldn't work. Plus there wasn't a closet to hang clothes. After searching we found a hook behind the curtains that was intended for a make shift closet. We called down again and the receptionist came up with a new remote and she couldn't get it to work either. She said well I have one more King room that we can try. (Wait a minute, 10 minutes ago you told me you didn't have any king rooms left???) We went to the 3rd room and since it was past 10 pm we said ok. The carpet was stained with who knows what and there was no internet service. The room felt dirty and was dark. The message center on the phone would not stop blinking red even tho there were no messages on it. At 3 a.m. we finally unplugged the phone. The next morning I called Expedia who I had booked through and they helped us find another hotel that worked out perfectly. Thank you Expedia. This place is a prime example of a hotel that's been neglected for years, rundown, filthy and not worth a fraction of the price they charge. They tried to say it's because they are remodeling but the condition of this hotel has taken years. We found out from one of the staff that it is no longer a Hilton property because they don't meet up to Hilton's standards. That's the truth!!! Save your money and your sanity--there are plenty of better options out there.

To whom it may concern, not sure who decides what to put on your reader board, but just letting you know the most recent one was an effort to harass me personally

There was a little hang up during check in because their credit card machine was declining all my credit cards and it took several minutes to sort out it was their equipment problem. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and I liked the fact that there were power outlets throughout the room, I think 5 in total, each had two USB ports and two plugs. The breakfast was good but not too many options. However free coffee and tea were available 24/7, cookies at 5pm in the lobby. There were several restaurants nearby. Overall, a good hotel to stay.
