Very disappointing that the fitness room doesn’t open until 6:00 am. I’ve been visiting this hotel for years and that wasn’t always the case. I guess I need to consider the Holiday Inn across the parking lot.

UPDATE:
Hampton Inn responded to my review with a link and phone number to the hotel. The link brings you to a generic Hampton Inn contact list. No one there could help me. I called the hotel, no one there could help me. It appears that this place wants to “appear” the be doing something about the customer complaint, however their process is flawed and even more frustrating. Honesty, why even try if you make it more difficult on the customer!
Received an $875 charge on my CC a few days after leaving. Called the hotel and stated it was due to a damaged TV. I was there on a business trip and never turned the TV on. They said there was nothing they could do. So I disputed it through my CC. Came back and still said due to damaged TV. Here are a couple of my thoughts. 1: the antiquated TV could only be worth maybe $300. 2: the hotel water pressure is absolutely terrible. 3: the hot water may or may not work. 4: the air conditioners are loud and obnoxious. Seems like a low blow to try and over bill for a knowingly 2 star hotel. This will be my last time with any Hampton Inn.

I CANNOT recommend Hampton Inn hotel in Marshalltown. We scheduled my son's birthday party there. The manager at that time seemed a little weird about us using the pool. We then move our stuff to the meeting room, and get our pizza and cake eaten. Then come to find out the pool is closed due to "levels being off". Which was weird timing, I thought. After having conversation with the manager, his receptionist told me wrong about pool parties, and they don't allow the pool parties. I had this room booked since September 10th. So his solution was to shove us to the room and lie about everything only to say "I didn't want to ruin his party I have kids too". The only good that came out of it was a full refund. Pretty upset kids tonight though!
