Disgusting
If I could give this hotel 0 stars it would be too much. I went through Expedia to book this room because going directly through the hotel to book was doubled in price for this weekend (football game weekend) and everywhere was booked or astronomically over priced. I booked it based off rating and price. Why people rated this dumpster 5⭐️ is beyond me. When we first checked in the clerk was pleasant. As we were walking to our room I noticed huge dirt/stained/filth spots on the carpets. Once we walked in our room I immediately became sick/enraged/disgusted. From stains and rips on furniture, to broken curtains, broken fixtures, stained lamp shades, stains in shower, etc (see pictures). We immediately called for a manager and the clerk that checked us in showed up (with attitude). We showed her everything and we requested a better room; she stated “I can’t promise you that any other room would be better than this one”! WHAT?? She stated they are going through renovations. If none of your rooms are better than this one then just shut the place down until you can carry the “Hilton” brand as it should be. Hilton/Hampton should be appalled to have this hotel open and charging people with less than sub par rooms. She also stated that we couldn’t get our money back or even a partial refund because we went through a 3rd party. I contacted Expedia and they reimbursed us 20%. Still UNACCEPTABLE.

The Hampton Inn located at 4 Sturgis Corner Drive was a very nice hotel but the process to book the hotel was a nightmare. My wife was a patient at the University of Iowa Hospitals so I called what seemed was a local number to book a room but was directed to a call center in India. They had no idea where Iowa was and never heard of the hospital. I was put on hold for about 10 minutes and then was quoted a price $30 dollars higher than the rate listed on a U o I hotel sheet. I hung and called back and was directed back to India once again. Again, they never heard of the hospital. This time I was told there were no rooms available. I called back one more time and this time I was directed to the "Front desk." I spoke to a very nice person who got us a room at the rate listed on the hospital suggestion sheet. The process to book a room is a frustrating, awful experience. I would rate it a 0 out of 100 if I hadn't eventually been directed to the front desk. The hotel was very nice as were the employees. I would rate them 4.5 out of 5. The booking process is beyond awful. Atrocious.

Passing through town and looking for a night stay. Stopped to see if anything was available and luck was on our side. Little bit priced but Hampton Inn was calling our name. The room was wonderful along with the cozy bed. The bathroom has everything that you need. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. They offer free breakfast which is out of this world 😋. If I'm ever in town again I'll make sure to stay here.
