Stayed here for a week on a RCI trade to a 2 bedroom and enjoyed the room layout/design as well as the hotel amenities. Spacious rooms, large living room space. Small gym and restaurant on-site but most people staying here are owners that use the kitchen which we put to good use as well with quite a few Costco groceries inside of the massive fridge. Cooking facilities and equipment I would say are top notch, seem relatively new, easy to operate and good for 99% of all your cooking needs although it would have been good for us to bring some salt/pepper/seasonings from home rather than buying large new containers. Loved the size of the master bathroom, it was almost too large but wasn't as big of a fan that there was no way to fully divide the master bedroom and bathroom, there was only a curtain rather than a door so a lot of sound and light leak from the master bathroom to the master bedroom. Secondary bedroom didn't have this issue with 2 twin beds and a bathroom that requires you to cross the hallway. The on-site pool is divided in to a few different sections but the main one near the lobby is quite impressive with lots of smaller pools as well as an adults only pool that was pretty quiet whenever we stopped by. Pool could have been a little cleaner, there were some leaves at the end of the day when I went for a sunset swim. Shuttles to the main Waikoloa village or the various shopping centers are easy to navigate but they take some time as they make quite a few stops along the way. Parking is included throughout the Hilton properties as part of the high resort fee. Walking was quite comfortable on the side walks although it can be a little dark without street lamps.

What a find! This hilton is part of the larger Hilton chain. They have a shuttle service that takes you between all the different resorts. This resort itself had multiple pools, a cold plunge Jacuzzis, a sand lagoon, towel service, a games room, an exercise room, a local bar, nightly music, a golf course, and activities. Service was amazing. The rooms were meticulously maintained. Beds were super comfortable. And the bathroom is huge. What else did you ask for?

I find it hard to believe that all the employees are honest and i know for a fact that my pareo and items in the dryer were actually stolen. Found it funny that they found previous items from previous guests still left in the apartment, yet the items I watched my partner redry in the dryer were mysteriously vanished. he even was able to go into the apartment and saw that they were no longer in the dryer. So that tells me the person who cleaned the apartment which was a young girl, claimed the items for herself lol. I’m not stupid and it’s not the first time it’s happened at a hotel back home. I’m coming home to visit my family in Hawaii and I know my things were stolen and never placed in the lost in found! I filed a report, but I’m positive that whoever cleaned out that apartment is probably wearing my pareo and using the towels.

We stayed at HIlton Vacation Club Kings Land in October 2025 and had a great time. We are RCI members and did an exchange vacation. We had stayed at the Bay Club, another facility part of the HIlton Vacation Clu, a few years back and had a great time. Kings Land was even better and exceeded our expectations! It had everything we needed - friendly people, great location, ample paring, and great service. We stayed in a 2 bedroom 3rd floor unit in Building 2. The unit was nice and well apportioned. I don’t think it’s one of the “newly renovated” rooms but we thought it was still pretty nice. There were a few minor issues with the room and every ti’ame, the service staff arrived quickly and were able to address the issue right away. We had a balcony that faced the golf course. We were excited to watch a family (or two) of mongoose playing in the rocks and brush. The building is a a short 5 min. walk to the Clubhouse where the main pool and bar/cafe are located. There was a BBQ are with two nice grills between Bldg 2 and 3 and a quiet, laid back pool between Bldg 3 and 4. We loved the pools and spent most of our time either in the Serenity Pool or the main pool. The main pool was sprawling with a water slide, kids area, and adult only pool. It only felt crowded once out of the 7 days we were there. There was plenty of seating and a nice locker room if you wanted to rinse off or change before going back to your room. We liked that the pool didn’t blast music and the bar/cafe were steps away. We ate most of our food at local restaurants but did have lunch at the cafe a few times. The fish and chips was huge and hot and crispy. They also had solid chicken wings! The staff were really friendly, especially the front desk staff. They were backbone of the resort and kept things running smoothly. We checked out at 11 but our flight didn’t leave until 9:30 p.m. We were able to get a day pass to use the pool, locker room, and cafe. They also have a “courtesy suite” where you can take a shower, get changed, etc. before you head out to catch your flight. I’ve never come across this at another hotel and it was a really nice perk. We did some cooking but ate most meals out at local restaurants. We tried to avoid the touristy spots as best we could. We loved GJ’s Huli Chicken in Waimea is killer. We got a whole chicken, some pancit with chicken, banana lumpia, and a couple empanadas. So good! Hale I’a Da Fish House in Kawaihae had the best poke. It’s inside a small market. I got the Sunrise poke bowl with cucumber salad, and my partner got the ginger salmon. So fresh, nicely seasoned and we at it at Spencer Beach Park.Speaking of good food - the KTA grocery in Waikoloa has a great selection of regional Asian dishes and baked goods. Filipino, Japanese, Chinese, Korean deli items, cookies, breads, candy, and more. They also have local grass fed beef and fish. If you're looking for a place to stay in Waikoloa, check out Kings Land (or one of the sister resorts).

Not happy at all with every other hotel has a beach that has been manicured and cleaned off lava rocks. So we had to travel for beaches where we didn't have to wear water shoes. Eating in the property BTW is completely ridiculous they are way over charging and and none of the money they're charging their customers are going into repairs or maintaining the building. Everything is dated needs repair the workout rooms are small over 50 year old equipment and everything is old and rusted smells absolutely awful. Every single water fountain that's through the hotel doesn't have any cold water it is all warm water and I'm not even 100% sure it's filtered. Oh and the palace Towers got this beautiful ornate elaborate like cherub and Neptune statue and there's no water running through it. This is a gorgeous property but they are not putting enough effort into it I feel to make this a top property. Oh and everything's got really weird hours all the coffee shops close at noon so those of us who are all day coffee drinkers we can't get any coffee and then you can't eat till 4:05 everything closes early but if you go to Hilo or if you go towards Kona you at least have something that's open till 11:00. Plus no late checkout bc of no availability when husband is an owner and on top of it tipped maids they left me one extra coffee like gotcha. They have a tram that is so slow you can walk from one end of hotel to other faster than tram. There were these cool boats that were supposed to ferry people and it's not running. Pools all have chipping paint. Example in big pool bridges that go over pool have chunks of concrete missing and no paint or old chipping paint. It is a beautiful property but the lava rocks are over abundant here. One plus side was the dolphin quest. Even then still have concerns about the dolphins. We got an upgraded room which was nice but I will be using Wyndham i think from now on.
