My recent stay at Hilton Kings’ Land was extremely disappointing. The room wasn’t ready until 30 minutes past check-in time, which set the tone for the rest of the trip. There was no WiFi for the entire stay due to a “technical issue” — unacceptable for a resort at this price point. Basic amenities were poorly managed. The Bistro closes at 7 PM, and even in the morning the coffee served was cold. The buggy/transportation to the room took forever, making even simple movement around the property frustrating. To top it all off, they refused even a minimal late checkout, despite all the inconveniences during my stay. Overall, this was one of my worst resort experiences, and I would not recommend Hilton Kings’ Land to anyone until they improve their service and reliability.

This is our second time staying at Kings Land and both times have been amazing. Each employee from the bartenders, to the staff driving the golf carts have been so friendly and helpful. We lucked out and got building six which was next to the pool and main lobby. The pool area is large and at times we felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. The full size kitchen with washer and dryer make this place great for families.

Unfortunately we cannot give this place anymore than one star. It started with us receiving a very dirty room, sand and dirt everywhere when we walked in, dirty towels and cookware and then continued through the trip. There was black mold in the shower and cockroaches scurrying across the kitchen and bathrooms. Google won’t let me post videos which got most of the evidence but I do have some pictures. The tv also did not work. When we asked to move rooms we were told by the front desk manager Kazuyo that we would have to check out at 10am and not be allowed back into a room until 4pm. 6 hours with nowhere to go or change or rest. I told that was unacceptable and disappointing and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. The room was eventually cleaned by housekeeping but that didn’t keep the cockroaches away.

It's honestly a mixed bag and we've come here for a couple of years now. Good: - spacious apartments - plenty of parking - nice pool area + adult only pool (yay) - friendly staff - great pool bar (wish they would be open longer) - great location within Waikoloa, even though it's not close to the beach. Abay is a short drive with parking lot -lots of restaurants and stores within a short drive Bad: - Wi-Fi is atrocious, don't dare bring work unless you have your own hotspot - not enough sun beds - not enough shade, there are umbrellas, but we had people ask if we would share our shade, since not enough are available. There is a huge row in the adult section with no umbrella or shade structures. Would help to add more sun beds and a lot more umbrellas back there (or a cabana structure for those who want full shade). - every time one of the appliances has issues, last time the dishwasher didn't work at all, this year it didn't drain, AC wasn't working properly to cool the place - Kitchen items are scarce, pans are in horrible shape and scratched up; the replacement looked worse than the old one (so clearly not new). - they do clean 2x a week, but take your towels, but then not replace them. You have to hunt down towels everytime they come clean I still say it's a nice place, but I hope they see this and do some improvements with the yearly fees they collect. More sun beds, more shade, get decent kitchenware and work on good strong wi-fi all over the property.

The location is beautiful! The staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom suite equipped with 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and washer/dryer. Meals are really expensive, (especially for a family of 6) so we opted to go to the grocery store less than 5 minutes away for breakfast items. There was daily house keeping that was fantastic and the staff always made sure we had more than enough towels. I would rate this around 3.5 to 4 only because ALL the linens NEED to be replaced. Both the towels & bed covers looked dark, dingy and could use a lot of Bleach and very hot wster....better yet, just replaced. The lamp shades also seem to have "water stains"/ dirty, see photos. With these minor changes, a 5 star 🌟 resort for sure.
