  After 14 years of paying fees as an owner we were finally able to return. What a dump. Room conditions were inexcusable, should have never been allowed to go this long. Construction was all we saw, affected parking too. No working elevator. Staff at pool bar was the only plus. We brought friends who were considering joining, but that's not going to happen. Very, very disappointed. Will not be returning.

  Beautiful view, very clean resort areas, renovated room and friendly service! I can’t say enough good about this resort. There is a large pool, spa, ocean trail, and rooms are newly renovated in buildings 6,9,10 and they are working on 4. Our 2 bedroom unit was spacious, well stocked and had a great balcony to enjoy! Yes the AC units are in the bedrooms, however the cold air travels and cools the living room and kitchen, too. Highly recommend!

  I was a little unsure about The Hilton Vacation Club The Point at Poipu Kauai based on some of the reviews I read here, so I felt I really needed to share our experience. In one word, it was perfect! I was shocked at how great it actually was! We stayed in 10206 which was a 2 bedroom suite. The room was very nice and much more spacious than we expected! The room appeared to have been recently renovated within probably the last 1-2 years. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bathrooms and bedrooms were great as well. The room was very clean, and we didn't see a single bug inside during our 7 nights. Every staff member we encountered was kind and professional, but also very helpful! The hotel grounds and pool are amazing and very well kept. The location was very close to several beaches, shopping, and restaurants. Huge bonus points for allowing us to "stay" on site after checkout and use the facilities (pool, bar, restaurant, towels, bathrooms and SHOWER). They also stored our bags! This made the gap between morning checkout and evening flight so much easier! I will absolutely book this hotel again for our next trip to Kauai! Thank you Hilton at The Point Poipu Kauai!!!

  I'll be honest: all of the HGVC properties we have ever stayed in have been, to be frank, complete dumps. This property is no exception. We are staying in what is supposed to be one of the updated buildings and our room is disgusting, more reminescent of a dingy Motel 6 than a Hilton hotel: dirty brown carpet, old scuffed furniture and walls, peeling paint, filthy showers, dirt along all baseboards, pink bacterial film along crevices in the bathroom and kitchen, mildew and cigarette smell in the bedrooms (the only air conditioned rooms in the units), holes in the filmsy curtains, broken chairs on the lanai, etc. It's really gross. The only positive thing I can say is I've checked thoroughly for bedbugs and have miraculously not seen any! If our family members did not have a timeshare (which we will never, ever get, especially considering how derelict all of the HGV properties truly are), we would never stay here. if you have other options, run from this place!!!!

  Our two week stay, this year, was September 15 thru October 1. Our other visits were 2013 and 2015. We were in the #10 building, second floor. Our room had been updated and we really liked the improvements. The kitchen was nicely stocked. All three TVs worked fine and had a good selection of channels. Housekeeping came twice a week to change bedding, towels, general cleaning and trash removal. The washer and dryer worked well and the laundry soap provided was a nice touch. Very pleasant staff at the front desk, concierge, pool bar, towel hut and Housekeeping. The lanai is a good size and the furnishings are adequate. I do think the lanai could stand a little spruce up and a ceiling fan would be awesome. The grounds are beautiful and even though we only had a garden view, it was lovely. My only complaint was the lack of hot water. If you ran the kitchen faucet for 5 minutes or more, you could get pretty warm, but no more than that. The showers were only marginally better. The bathroom sinks, forget it. The best I could get was cool. My only other complaint is how noisy our upstairs neighbors were. They had children and they never walked. They ran. All the time. I wish they would put all families in first floor units. My only other complaint has to do with Hilton Vacation Club, but that is another story. A little advice. Think VERY carefully before becoming an owner.
