Thoroughly unimpressed with this hotel. While the location was good, and the housekeeping is polite, consistent, and reliable, that's all they have going for them. The pool is very lackluster and the staff are generally unhelpful. We booked a 2 double bed room on a third party travel site. When we arrived they gave us a 1 king room and when I told them that's not what I booked and that didn't work the front desk agent cut me off and claimed the property doesn't guarantee bedding, trying to blame the 3rd party travel site initially, then trying to say that the bedding is just a request. That's absolute BS because they wouldn't be listed on this 3rd party site and have room rates on it if there wasn't an agreement between the hotel and the travel site. First they offered a rollaway bed and the front desk agent said "normally they're $54 but we can do it for free" like he was doing us some kind of favor. After speaking to a different agent, the best they could do was put us on a lower floor, next to the elevators (which are pretty loud) in a one king with a sofa bed room. This is not acceptable. When I contacted the travel site, they confirmed we indeed booked a 2 double bed room. The hotel remained adamant they don't do bedding guarantees at that property and they're only requests, then tacked on in a later conversation that they didn't even get our request. Total lack of honesty and transparency. Imagine going to a hotel and booking it because you have enough people going and you need two separate beds, making sure you book a room with that need and then getting to the hotel and being told you only have one king bed and the bedding needs aren't guaranteed. What's the point of a hotel booking if every time I go to a hotel I'm spinning the wheel for what beds I get. That's THE PRIMARY thing I'm looking at when I book hotels, how many beds do I need based on how many people are going. Aside from the reservation issues, the pool is downright awful. Extremely old, tired, and worn out. The wifi doesn't ever work which is insane considering they use it as a justification to charging you extra resort fees. Only in Hawaii will a hotel tack on an exorbitant extra "resort fee" and claim it's for a service that every other hotel in the country gives you as part of the room rate. Resort fees are a bit of an unavoidable scam in Hawaii, but if you're going to charge it and claim it's for certain services, you better make sure those services are flawless. Can't recommend anyone stays at this hotel for their big Hawaiian vacation, or any other trip no matter how brief. You can tell the staff are miserable, burnt out, hate tourists/mainlanders, hate their lives, and don't remotely care about offering even a decent service to guests. I've stayed at subpar hotels in Chicago with better service than this. 100% not worth whatever price you'll pay. I find the hotels response below laughable when they say "we regret the miscommunication with our third-party reservation provider" like shut up. YOU LITERALLY ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH THEM TO LIST YOUR ROOMS, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to book on there. Maybe take some accountability for the agreements you make with other reservation providers because you're equally as responsible as they are. Instead they try to pass the buck as a "miscommunication" as if the 3rd party didn't confirm my booking was for a 2 double bed room when I contacted them. Dodging accountability tells you all you need to know about how this hotel is run and was exactly my experience. It's the "we don't care, not our problem" approach.

So the pictures doesn’t match what you really get. This hotel is really really old. The wallpaper looks like it was from 1969and it was not properly installed. The tub was extremely small and the shower head was magnetic, so you either stand at the back to shower or hold the shower head. The hotel was extremely clean I must say, not a bug in sight and the hallway windows are open so I was impressed. Now there was a fire when we stayed this past week on Saturday 1/24/2026 morning around 5:00am, the fire alarm was very faint , if I wasn’t a light sleeper this could have been deadly for us being on the 12th floor. We were outside for about an hour. No one knocked on the door, called the room I just happened to open my door and saw people going down the stairs. It ended up being a fire contained in the lobby but we received no apology, no credit, no refund. Horrible service.location was perfect! Parking was $50 a night that’s crazy they call this old hotel a resort. I’m not sure how they even got 4 stars. If it wasn’t for the fire I would’ve possibly gave 3 stars but 2 is all they deserve, respectfully.

We paid $570CAD in "Resort Fees" for the week and we both ended up using all of our data and buying more because the WiFi never worked the entire time. I went to the Lobby and they reset the router but it lasted a few hours. We were not able to use the Pool the entire time as it was freezing cold and in the shade all day long. No breakfast included. The Body Lotion/Shower Gel was empty when we arrived and never refilled at all. I was told when checking out that they would refund a few days if the Resort Fee but I've received nothing. We both noticed that we came home with several bites as well. Also, the doors slam super loudly, so this goes on late at night and starts very early in the morning. It was my Aunts Birthday and this was really disappointing for sure.

We paid $570.00CAD in "Resort Fees" for the week and I ended up using up all my Data and paying for more as the WiFi never worked the entire time. My Aunt paid for Data as well. I went to the Lobby area after a few days and it didn't work there either, they reset the Router at the front desk and it worked for a few hours only. We were not able to use the Pool the entire time as it was freezing cold and in the shade all day long. The Body Lotion, Shower Gel was empty when we arrived and never refilled at all. No breakfast included at all. I was told they would refund a few days of the Resort Fee but I have not received any refund or given any receipt upon check out. It was my Aunt's birthday and this was really disappointing for sure

We booked a six-night stay and are currently staying at this hotel as a group of three adults and one three-year-old child. At the time of booking, we clearly indicated that we needed king-bed rooms and adjacent rooms, as this was essential for caring for a young child. However, upon arrival, both rooms were assigned as two-bed rooms, and they were not adjacent. This made it very inconvenient and unsafe to care for our child, as adults have had to constantly walk back and forth along the hallway. We spoke with the front desk on the first night and again on the third night to request a room change, but so far no adjustment has been made. That said, the beds are quite comfortable, and overall the stay has been generally pleasant so far. The main downside is that the hotel feels somewhat outdated and worn, and the room arrangement issue has significantly affected our experience as a family traveling with a young child. We hope the hotel can still address this issue during the remainder of our stay and improve how it handles confirmed room requests in the future.
