I had a reservation booked here but experienced some serious medical issues that caused me to be hospitalized and couldn’t make my reservation I canceled it and the general manger refused to give me a one time courtesy credit I guess next time I’ll just bring my hospital bed there so I can still stay there sick and all

So I'll start with the pros: location is great, quiet, the hotel is clearly a newer hotel because it's super nice, and they had a great breakfast selection. The cons: the floor boards on mine and my fiancé's bed were poking out and before checking in, as a Hilton honors member, I ALWAYS do the digital check in. It's just more convenient especially when in a hurry. I initially booked a 2 queen bed suite and when I went to digitally check in, my room type had been changed to a 1 king bed suite. I immediately called because I had 3 other guests staying with me and I had made this reservation on the fly. The lady then proceeds to tell me she changed my room type based off a note I had attached to my reservation. Idk if that note is by default but I never added a note regarding any type of bed or room type. then she changed her answer to basing it off the count of people the room was for and I let her know that it was my bad on that but that it WAS a last min reservation. However, I also don't understand why the change was made without calling me first. I'm a silver member (used to be gold but I travel less now), and an avid Hilton user; so the fact that change was made without a simple phone call rubbed me the wrong way. I did approach the front desk about it later and they told me it was due to overbooking queen suites but I did let them know that anytime I worked in hotels, we were always told to notify the guest(s) first. I do appreciate her apology on the other employee's behalf but I do believe this should be addressed so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Other than that, I'd recommend a stay there.

On 10/31 my Husband and I checked into the Hampton inn in Snellville GA. Shurod checked us into room 405. I gave him my card for the incidentals and was charged a temporary hold for the incidentals. On 11/1 after returning from breakfast, my husband and I tried to get into our room and our key cards did not work. We went to the front desk, and Shurod, the same employee who checked us in the night prior, was at the desk. We informed him that our key cards were not working for our room 405 and he stated “we were trying to figure out who was in that room.” This was shocking to us, as he was the employee who checked us in and gave us our keys the night prior and our items were currently in room 405. He then proceeds to say “the system is showing that you never checked in and that you are a no show.” This definitely could not have been the case as we slept in the room the night prior and all of our items were still in the room that we could not access. Shurod contacted the onsite manager Keisha (Keke) who came over to assist. She stated the same thing that the system said we were a no show and asked if we had keys. Once again we stated that not only did we check in and receive keys, get charged for incidentals, but that our items were still in the room. They informed us that they were fully booked and did not have any reservations. We quite frankly didn’t want to hear that as we booked our reservation for 10/31-11/2. It took them a minute, but they were able to move other guests around to open up our room back to us. But in doing so, charged our charge card again. My husband is a diamond member with Hilton and I am a silver member with Hilton. We have stayed at a plethora of Hilton properties and this was by far the worst experience we have had. Because of the incident that occurred, we were late to an event that we had to go to due to the fact that we could not get into our room where our items were to change for the event. It still baffles us that this even occurred and we believe someone should be held responsible.
