Will not stay here again. Very run down, probably the worst Hampton Inn we've ever stayed in. Carpets dirty and worn. Furniture in room wad dirty and stained. Hinge was broken on cabinet. Pool was closed for "non-compliance" per health dept. Breakfast started at 7 AM. At 7:05, coffee was empty. Was not refilled until 7:25!! Definitely not up to Hampton Inn standards.

On January 10, 2026, I checked into the Tempty Inn in Port Wentworth, Georgia. During check-in, I was assisted by a front desk employee who identified herself as Mandi (spelled M-A-N-D-I). Initially, the check-in process was fine. My reservation was found, and there were no issues until I was asked to provide a card for a $25 incidental charge. I calmly asked a simple clarification question: when did the incidental amount become $25? I made it clear that I understood incidentals were required; I was only asking for information. At that point, the employee’s demeanor changed. Instead of answering the question, she responded dismissively and asked, “Why did you ask me the question then?” Her tone was rude and unnecessary. I remained polite and explained that my question had not been answered. Rather than de-escalating or providing clarification, she became increasingly short and unprofessional. I did nothing to warrant this treatment. I was respectful, calm, and simply seeking information. The interaction made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected at the very beginning of my stay. Customer service, especially in hospitality, should be courteous and professional—particularly when a guest is asking a reasonable question. This interaction fell far below that standard. I am submitting this complaint so management is aware of the issue and can address it appropriately to prevent similar experiences for future guests.

Beware of scam $5 "parking fee" they assess days after you check out with a zero balance. I don't like dealing with shady, dishonest people. Simply state the fee up front...it's not difficult. Being secretly charged days after we check out with a zero balance is ridiculous. Room was fine. Breakfast is subpar. It's not about the money, but beware...you are doing business with a place that is dishonest.

The stay was good for 1 night! I don’t understand why there are many 1 star reviews. It is a Hampton-Inn off I-95 for a very cheap and affordable price, so I was not expecting very much. But I’d say it exceeded expectations! We are young girls traveling by ourselves, but we’re satisfied with the location and felt safe! Overall, it was an older crowd and families who were also making a travel stop. We are from Florida traveling up the East Coast to South Carolina and needed a place to stop, and break up the trip. Because it’s off I-95, it’s a nearby drive to restaurants and stores. We ate at La Parrilla Mexican cuisine which was 15 min south. Cute modern and trendy restaurant in a nice plaza! Also, we were 20/25 min from downtown Savannah and the historic district, so we were able to take a drive and visit! The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel is older and more run down, but the room was clean and had the necessities. The bathroom had enough towels and provided some toiletries. They had complementary breakfast in the morning. It was a simple, smaller breakfast but did the job and satisfied our hunger. Overall I enjoyed the short stay and have no complaints!

On Christmas Eve, I booked a room on the first floor and was extremely disappointed with the condition of the room upon arrival. The carpet was visibly dirty, and the shower floor appeared to be vinyl wood with noticeable rust and lime buildup around the drain. Several washcloths had visible dirt on them, while others looked old and dingy. The air conditioning did not get cold, and the room had a strong, old damp odor. The couch was worn, outdated, and had rips on the armrest. Most concerning, there was what appeared to be dirt or possible droppings in the corner behind the door, which made the room feel unsanitary and unsafe. Due to these conditions, I checked out the same day and did not stay overnight. These conditions were unacceptable and not reflective of a clean or properly maintained room. I am requesting a full refund for this stay, as the room was not usable. Please let me know how this issue will be resolved. Sincerely, Ngozi Clarke
