Apparently this is not exactly a real Hampton Inn but pays to use the Hampton Inn name I think. I thought it seemed strange when the room was dirty and run down. It smelled like the inside of a nursing home that uses powerful chemicals to cover smells. And the floor of my room is actually sticky and the carpet needs to be replaced. The bathtub had pealing paint coming off into the water. The staffing was insufficient and unprofessional. I paid Hampton Inn price for a cheap, rundown, inadequately maintained, old hotel room. Public needs to check if a “Hampton Inn” is actually corporately owned and maintained, or is privately Owned and managed but uses the name. I paid for the reliability of a brand. I feel dumb and cheated. I guess Hilton is going the way of Ramada and Holiday Inn. Time to use up all of my points and move on. Always check to see who owns the motel you book, the corporation or a private owner.

BEWARE OF SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICE.
The website states parking is free, yet when you check your receipt after staying there, you’ll notice a parking charge. The hotel never mentions anything about parking.
To get this charge removed, you need to reach out to Hilton. They will claim they are trying to update the website to reflect that parking is no longer free. Sad to think how many people have missed this and been scammed by false advertising.

What is happening to the Hampton Inn? They used to care about their reputation. The rooms need refurbished. Shotty workmanship at best. The gyms need attention. There are never any disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizer. The breakfast consisted of a mediocre omelette with cheese that looked like orange cardboard. The orange juice really isn’t orange juice. I can’t even describe it other than tasteless. There was no meat of any kind. The oatmeal wasn’t replenished. While it was hot, you had to scrap it off the bottom. Poor quality food.

Paid for a specific style room. Told they were sold out of that room style. Still had to pay for the upgraded room. No difference offered as a compensation. Room was filthy and smelled. Bed was a ROCK to sleep on. But desperation kept us here.
Then housekeeping tries to enter our room at 8:58am, without so much as a knock or anything. Then they are outside laughing about waking up a sleeping guest. Totally unacceptable. Check out time is NOT 9am, so bothering guests who may still be resting is simply unacceptable.
Avoid this particular location. There are far better options.

Rooms are decent LOCATION: if you miss the lot trust me, go straight. If you hit that interstate, it’s a 25min trip back around AT BEST.
That being said, after that and a long day, I took a moment to myself in the car and when I attempted to enter, the key didn’t work. No one on duty. I almost lost it.
I forget her name, but the lady working oct 25th overnight, I’m grateful for her patience. I think she could tell I was scrambled. Extremely professional and courteous when she quite frankly could have told me to shove off. My Krystal order made it to my room, by the way. It stated they won’t deliver to room but they can.
