DO NOT STAY!! The hotel is under heavy construction, the elevator
is sketchy, and smells like marijuana. It seems that there is a strong odor at the front desk and when you think that you can escape the smell when you get into your room? WRONG! You can still smell it! I believe that the receptionist is the one with it. If you want to use the gym or pool, their facilities are closed so you must use the one at the adjacent hotel, Homewood Suites. Just save your money and book Homewood or a completely different hotel. The stench is so bad that we had to move out to another hotel. Be aware that there is SUPER loud construction inside of the hotel.

Hotel was under construction when I visited but I was up on the 5th floor so I didn’t hear it. Otherwise I really enjoyed my stay. Would book a room here again!

Extremely Disappointing Stay — Under Construction and Very Unprofessional
I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Lawrenceville–Duluth, Georgia, with my team of five people while traveling to Minnesota. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.
The hotel is currently under heavy construction, including the pool, gym, and even the lower floors. Every morning around 8 AM, we were woken up by loud construction noise — drilling, banging, and constant disturbance. It’s impossible to rest properly, and it feels unfair to charge full price for a hotel that is basically a construction zone.
The staff were very rude and unhelpful, which made things even worse. We had three bathrooms for our team, but the service and attitude from some employees were very unprofessional and disrespectful.
Honestly, this hotel should not be open to guests while major construction is going on. At the very least, they should start construction later in the day, not during early morning hours when guests are still sleeping.
This was one of my worst hotel experiences in Georgia. I would not recommend this location to anyone until the construction is fully completed and the management improves their customer service.
