    I have stayed at several Hampton Inns over the years in different states. This is the first time I was somewhat disappointed. The room I was initially given had stains in the carpet, a missing mirrored closet door, the cabinet door to the refrigerator was hanging, there was not safety lock on the inside to prevent someone on the outside from opening the door, the shower knob was just a screw sticking out to the wall. BUT the main disappointment was the constant banging from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. I went to the front desk to complain and they said the entire 4th floor was being renovated at the time. I was on the 3rd floor so the noise was very loud. They said the entire hotel was being renovated and it was a four year project. On the positive side, they did move me to another room on the 2nd floor where the banging was not as loud, gave me a discount on the first night I stayed and some extra snacks from the front desk. Although this room was about 90% better, there were still a few things I noticed like a missing clock, missing night light in the bathroom, the toilet kept running and the ceiling above the toilet had a drip coming down on top of the toilet. The room was cleaner and looked more upgraded than my previous room. Also, the front desk clerk named Beverly was super awesome and friendly. Actually all of the staff were very friendly and courteous. I was in town for my aunt's funeral and the location was six minutes away from where I needed to be. The buffet breakfast was very delicious and had a nice variety. The nice lady who cooked the food every morning was very friendly. I really enjoyed the snack bags at the front desk in the morning and the cookies in the evening. So, it is still a nice hotel to stay at if you're in town for a few days, just avoid the 3rd floor for now until construction is complete on the 4th floor. I will stay there again.

    Unexpected stay on Christmas night. Beverley was managing the front desk. She met us with a smile and a genuinely friendly and helpful attitude. She in fact made a difficult situation a very pleasant and engaging time. I would return anytime because of her service.

    I would like to thank all the front desk staff and housekeepers for accommodating my family this past weekend 12/20-12/21 during my mother's 75th birthday. Top Kudos to you ladies at the front desk -you were extremely nice and professional. My mother enjoyed her stay at your hotel
