I recently stayed at this newly renovated Hilton Garden Inn and met the most amazing bartender Brittney! She was the sweetest soul! The service was top notch and the conversation was delightful. Chris the chef cooked me the best steak I have had in months. Thank you for the great service. They both deserve a big bonus. In a world of selfish people they both went out of their way to give great service to others!

Ah, Cartersville! The midpoint oasis on my long trek back from a Thanksgiving week in Florida—the land of palm trees, family chaos, and enough holiday food to make me question every life choice involving gravy. After hours on the road, I was beyond ready for a quiet night’s rest, and the Hilton Garden Inn looked like the perfect stop. Sharp-looking lobby, clean room, everything neat and promising. I thought, “Yes, this is where I shall revive my road-weary soul.
”But then the acoustics introduced themselves."
If soundproofing were a competitive sport, this place unfortunately would not make the team. Every hallway conversation arrived in my room with such clarity that I briefly considered stepping outside to participate. The guests above me appeared to be training for their Olympic stomping event—or perhaps dropping a bowling ball every so often to keep things spicy.
As for the bathroom noise from the neighboring rooms let’s just say the experience was informative in ways I never requested. The walls carried sound with the enthusiasm of a gossiping coworker.
And then came the bed—firm enough to qualify as geological terrain. I’m pretty sure geologists could take core samples. The sheets and blankets had a slight chemical smell, not overpowering but odd enough to make me wonder if they were fresh out of a laboratory testing chamber.
To be fair, the hotel truly looks great, and the staff was friendly and helpful. But between the enthusiastic acoustics, the hard bed, and the overall sleep battle, it wasn’t quite the restful pit stop I hoped for on the long road home after Thanksgiving.
