The room was clean and the staff were friendly, but charging extra for WiFi at this price point feels misleading. Even after purchasing the premium internet package, the connection only reached about 10–20 Mbps, which isn’t sufficient for streaming HD video without constant buffering every few seconds.

We were there for 6 days/5 nights. NEVER, NOT ONCE did we get our room serviced. On day 1 I asked for additional towels [there were only 2 in the room] and I gave the housekeeper $20 asking her to kindly replenish towels daily - not service the room, just clean towels. It never happened
After 4 days/3 nights I requested that someone service the room at 11:15 am. There was not a housekeeping cart on the floor or I would have gone directly to the housekeeper. I had to ask the front desk who assured me that he would have the room serviced. Nothing dramatic, fresh towels, empty the trash, just freshen up. When we returned at 3:35 pm the $20 tip was still on the pillow, the bathroom floor was still littered with soiled towels and the trash can were still full. No one had bothered. Once again my husband took our soiled terry to the front desk to get fresh terry. UNBELIEVABLE!
The attention to housekeeping is just not there!
Additionally, the beds are uncomfortable. I doubt they are using Hilton branded mattresses or pillows. And the linen is scratchy and too short for the beds. Not something I expect at a Hilton brand.
The property is very convenient and quite lovely on the surface, but the rooms are not well maintained and the property is less than 1 year old. The shower floor is slippery [not cleaned well]. The laminate floors are not clean. I spilled water when I wiped it up the rag was filthy - I would not walk across the floors barefoot after I saw how dirty the floor was.
Very disappointing

I’ll start with the only positive thing I have to say about this hotel. It’s a nice building and is walking distance to everything in downtown blue ridge. I booked this hotel for Thanksgiving week with my family. I am a Hilton honors member and have stayed at Hilton/Hamptons numerous times with no issues. I am a government employee and book hotels using the government rate. I checked in just fine but the next day I was woken up by staff wanting me to come down to the front desk about some ‘issues’ with my reservation. I went down there figuring they wanted to see my government ID which is fine. When I started showing the front desk person my ID, another female staff member started rudely demanding my ‘tax exempt’ paperwork. I explained to them that I was there on vacation and not ‘per diem (work related)’. I am well aware that there is a government rate and a ‘per diem’ rate. When I booked the hotel, there was no pick list for ‘per diem’, just a government rate. She then started blowing smoke stating that they were cutting back on the government rates and only do ‘per diem’ at this hotel now. Again I had checked in just fine and have never had this come up at any other place I have stayed. They then proceeded to inform me that they were basically doubling my nightly rate for the rest of my stay there. While I would have just left out of the principle of the thing, I was not sure if there would be any availability at the other nearby hotels being that it was Thanksgiving week and busy there. So I decided to grin and bear it since I was with my family. The next night me and my 21 year old daughter went up to the rooftop bar to have a cocktail together. When we sat at the bar, the bartender came running over to see my daughter’s ID as she didn’t think she looked 21. My daughter provided her valid ID to her and the bartender stated that she could see that she was actually 21 but would not serve her do the fact that she still had her ‘vertical’ Florida ID and not the ‘horizontal’ ID. The bartender tried quoting some non-existent Georgia law (I looked) about how she couldn’t take the vertical ID which was still not expired btw. I explained to the bartender that I am in law enforcement and my daughter’s ID was indeed legal and acceptable proof of ID. The bartender continued to loudly decline to serve my daughter which embarrassed my daughter. Even a patron sitting next to her stated that he had never heard of such a thing. I explained to him that there was no such a thing, that the bartender had obviously been fed bad info at some point and wouldn’t budge. And being that this is a private establishment, I realized there was not much we could do. Every other restaurant in town took her ‘vertical’ ID with no problem. And we were there for a total of five nights and only had our room cleaned twice, one of which I had to specifically go and ask for. I would advise potential patrons to just go to the Comfort Inn at the top of the hill which is less than a mile away. We still enjoyed our visit to Blue Ridge but this hotel came very close to ruining the experience for no reason. They seemed very smug to have won the battle but don’t realize they lost the war for the company (not that they care, I’m aware) as I may never stay at Hilton/Hampton again with my honors membership. And I travel several times a year.

My husband and I had a problem with the front desk clerk upon checking in. We arrived between 6:30pm-7:00pm. A lady was checking into her room before us and he gave them information on what amenities you all have as far as what time breakfast starts, free bottles of complimentary water, in-house rooftop restaurant, as well as what attractions they can enjoy while staying at the hotel. When we stepped up after she left, we didn't get the same courtesy or information. Instead he was rude to us. His reception or was not welcoming. We actually brought it to his attention a bit later after we took our bags to the room. The next day, we came down for breakfast and met another front desk clerk and he was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. He gave us service with a smile and asked us what we like to do and why we were visiting Blue Ridge. We had a brief conversation with him and he gave us some information on what we could do while we visited this small beautiful town. My question: Do you all offer customer service training to all your employees who have to interact with the public? Even the breakfast staff were friendly, happy and all smiles. My husband and I are Hilton Honors member and enjoy staying at the Hilton on vacations we travel periodically throughout the year. This was the very first incident we have encountered and it was disappointing.
