We stayed 1 night at this hotel. First of all the young lady at check in was extremely nice. Then we got in our room and it smelled of marijuana. After arriving in the room the smoke detector battery was beeping. We were able to get a 9 volt battery to replace the dead one. The sweet girl at front desk had to dig in the drawer of a desk to find another 9 volt. Since maintenance had gone home for the day we replaced the battery ourselves. Little did we know that battery didn’t last and at 5:00 AM the detector started going off and woke us up. The carpet was filthy in our room. Hoping to watch college football our tv wasn’t working and was without signal. The nice front desk lady came and straightened it out so we could use the tv. On the floor in the bathroom were small pieces of trash next to the sink cabinet. When taking a shower I noticed a dried wash cloth hanging from the curtain rod that had been previously used by another guest prior to our arrival. Please read the kitchen and tourist inspections located in the breakfast area. Tourists inspection was an 84 due to many violations. As we left we spoke to the front desk clerk about the problems. After paying $180 for the night we felt we were due a partial refund. The desk clerk didn’t offer a partial refund. We will never ever stay at this hotel and advise you to go to another town for a nice hotel. The night before we had stayed at Laquinta Inn and paid half the price for a wonderful clean room. Hampton Inn Americus, GA you are not keeping a good name for Hampton Inn! You should be ashamed!

This is the nastiest hotel that I have ever stayed in. I have attached photos as proof. I am a retired military man. I am bald. The amount of hair in the room was absolutely disgusting. The light fixture is falling off the ceiling. Note the can of Lysol in pic #2. I felt compelled to purchase it as well as house shoes after noticing the amount of hair in the room.
I was in Americus visiting my son; a student at Georgia Southwestern. Next time I will stay further away from town. There just are not many options there to choose from.

This Hampton Inn (Americus, GA) is not of the Hilton Brand quality that we've come to expect. When we arrived, we were told that there was no hot water in the building but they were working on it. When I opened the door of our first assigned room, it was clearly neglected by the cleaning staff: dirty un-vacuumed floors, mold/stagnant smell, unmade beds, overflowing trash cans, and dirty towels piled on the bathroom floor. With all luggage in tow, I went back to the front desk. I was reassigned another room, only to find that it TOO was in the same state of disarray. We were finally given a "clean-ish" room. (The third time's the charm??) My husband fortunately found some cleaning spray on a maid cart to clean the dirty, stained toilet of this third room. The only redeeming factor was that the front desk attendant seemed annoyed at the lack of care by the cleaning staff. We understand that she had no control of the other staff members' lack of care.

The staff here is extremely kind and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. It did have a slight mildew smell, though it wasn’t intolerable. Breakfast was good. I would stay here again!

Stayed for work, the front desk attendant was so friendly! The room was very dated and needs work. The room smelled moldy, the shower drain was damaged the faucet almost cut my finger because it was damaged. The bed was soft, the breakfast was ok.
