She is still in the hospital after spending 10 days at ICU. I got charged $171.12 (CAD$ 245.85) for a service I haven't used. What they said? at least 3 emails I sent ''We do apologize, I'm afraid the cancellation penalty does still apply in the event of a medical emergency.'' A billionaire company can't accept a medical emergency?? That money would be helpful with my mom treatment in Brazil! I am not going to give up until they give me at least half of the refund.

While the stay itself was fine, my experience with their lost and found process was extremely disappointing and has left a lasting negative impression. I accidentally left a navy blue Eileen Fisher sleep dress hanging on the back of the bathroom door — something I realized just a few hours after checking out. I called the hotel right away and was transferred to lost and found, where I had to leave a voicemail. The message stated they would return my call within 48 hours. No one ever called back. Four days later, I called again and spoke with a very kind front desk staff member, who personally had someone unlock the lost and found to check. She later came back and told me: “They said nothing was found.” I know without a doubt that the item was left behind — it was a short trip with a very small bag, so there’s no chance it was misplaced elsewhere. I told her frankly, “Oh yes, it was found by one of your cleaning staff — just not turned in.” This isn’t about the item itself, but about the principle and trust. I’m extremely disappointed that something so clearly left behind was not returned, and even more so that I had to chase follow-ups with no results. This reflects poorly on the hotel's housekeeping integrity and overall accountability as well as hotel management who knows exactly who cleaned the room. I expected better from Hilton. Guests, beware: if you leave something behind here, don’t expect to get it back.
