Unfortunately our room was not serviced and asking at the front desk. They told us it’s too late and they do not have enough staff to service the rooms.

Great place to stay. Super clean and all the staff very friendly from Emily that checked us in to Conrad who is one of the cooks and he is great at it, to Rachel who works the morning shift at the restaurant. She was a doll.
And last but not least, Brandon at the bar great respectful young and motivated man.
Thank you for a great stay. Would come back again in a heart beat.

I usually stick with Hilton, but this stay was a major letdown. Easily the worst experience I've had with the brand.
The service was a mess. I called ahead at 12:30 PM and was told the room would be ready in an hour. I arrived at 2:30 PM, only to be told to wait another 30 minutes. I didn't get keys until 3:50 PM. To make it worse, the front desk was unmanned when we walked in. We stood there for 10 minutes waiting for an employee to show up.
The room hygiene was unacceptable. As you can see in the photos, the "clean" sheets were covered in hair. The bathroom wasn't even restocked, no body soap or conditioner. We even found a used coffee pod left in the tray from the previous guest.
The hotel looks recently remodeled, but it was done cheaply. The rooms are dark with no main lights (lamps only), and the workmanship is bad. There was literally a hole in the wall next to the shower handle where the tile wasn't finished. To top it off, there wasn't even a phone inside the room; the only phone available was out in the hallway.
Just a heads up on the "free shuttle" advertised for the Nights of Lights. Don't rely on it. We waited outside for a full hour. It passed us by twice without stopping because it was full, and we ended up having to pay for private transportation.
On a positive note, the room was quiet and the bed itself was comfortable. But it's hard to enjoy that when the sheets aren't clean.
I’m a Diamond member. I don't expect special treatment in the US, but they didn't even acknowledge the status. Zero recognition.
Between the dirty room, the unreliable shuttle, and the bad management, I can't recommend this place.

This place was beautiful. We went for our 10th wedding anniversary just for a night away. The hotel is beautiful the service was excellent. We did have a little bit of an issue with the bathroom the door handle is broken so we were locked out of the bathroom to begin with. One time we had to have someone come unlock it which was just a butter knife. Then when it left again a second time we just got about a butter knife and kept it in the room with us. Overall we had an great time. The only reason I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because even though the place was lovely all of the common areas kind of smells like wet dog. Thankfully the room did not.

We recently stayed at Castillo Real St Augustine Beach Resort for a week. This is a beautiful hotel and it is centrally located to everything. The Resort is literally steps away from the Beach and within walking distance to all sorts of dining. The Resort has a quaint atmosphere with a touch of luxury. We rated this Resort 5 stars because of the services received. From the moment we walked into the Resort and throughout the entire stay we were greeted and checked on continuously with kindness and people who absolutely love their jobs.
Our 1st impression of the Resort was established during check-in. We were met by Rhonda and Raheem, who welcomed us to the Resort. We initially had a bit of a problem with the room chosen online as the information listed on booking.com did not match what the Resort offered. This situation could have created a very negative and bad experience but Rhonda stepped in immediately and rectified the issue. She apologized for the misunderstanding, explained the rooms available in the Resort and provided us with a room that came very close to what had been described on booking.com.
After establishing that we were 1st time visitors to the City, Rhonda gave us great information on things to do and places to eat while in St. Augustine Beach. She was very helpful in getting us information on touring and directions on how to get to many of the historical sites visited. Rhonda demonstrated much care for the Resort's guests and she was instrumental with ensuring we had a wonderful stay. Rhonda made the difference and she is credited for our having such a great experience. What a wonderful front desk manager who wears so many hats!
It would behoove me to not mention the professionalism of all the staff working at the Resort. Raheem and the other younger gentleman were always well-kept, looked, spoked and acted professionally and represents the company very well. We met Raheem during check-in and while he was on duty, he constantly checked on us to see if everything was okay and if we needed anything.
The Castillo Real St Augustine Beach Resort is definitely a great choice. The Resort is recently renovated and they are still working on finishing up. Once the resort is fully renovated it will be absolutely gorgeous.
