If I could give this a 0 star I would! Stay clear of this hotel!! During our stay there was no hot water for showers, and at 6am we were awoken by an alarm blasting throughout our room/hotel for 5 min on speakers!! The ludicrous part is when we got home my husband sees an additional $300.room fee for smoking, we called the hotel thinking they made an error on the room number, after trying to tell them this is insane we don’t even smoke!! We are being told there is nothing they can do it was in house keeping reports. Tried to speak to management and we are being told he was unavailable, we tried to ask for the phone number for management and they hung up on us!! We will be calling our Amex now to dispute charges. My husband has been a loyal Hilton silver for years and after this experience and how we were treated we will be calling corporate for this incident! Also, in the email report it states the incident happened 7:30pm on 1/3 and we were not even there but at the swan lake ballet!
This is by far the worst experience we have ever had!

I love this location and the hotel has everything you need. The bar food and drinks are good but pricey. MARISSA at the front desk is so nice and helpful. I’ve stayed here several times. Each time I’ve stayed the rooms have been clean but because the hotel is needing to be updated it can appear untidy. The beds are not memory foam so they aren’t great.
The higher floors have great views.
All of my stays have been somewhat quiet except for one visit during a music festival in downtown St Pete.
Overall, it is a good value.

Our one night weekend get away was diminished by the quality or lack there of quality. We were trying to check out another portion of Florida. A myriad of issues, coffee stains on the curtains, hair in the towels, night time zero hot water and low pressure, morning blazing hot scorching water, exposed electrical switch on lamp, carpet smelled and had not been vacuumed, rattling loose air register, could not use the fridge because of its incessant rattling, using Hilton Gold status for snacks had to use the front desk to acquire and they neglected to credit on our benefit via the invoice. We would like a response to the review as far a a refund or free night for another Hilton hotel, we are Hilton Rewards Members. Happy to remove this review for rectification.

Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront – Dec 22–24, 2025
Our family booked this stay as a special Christmas trip with our 5-month-old son. Instead of hospitality and warmth, we spent two days dealing with cold water, false accusations, and a level of unprofessionalism I would never expect from Hilton.
The hot water did not work multiple times. We couldn’t bathe our baby the first night, engineering “fixed” it the next morning, and it failed again that evening and the next day. Hot water isn’t a luxury when traveling with an infant.
Then came the worst part.
We were accused of smoking in our room and charged a $300 fee even though no one in our family smokes. When we questioned it, the Front Desk Director, Cynthia Dill, doubled down and told us:
• “The system is never wrong.”
• “It’s your word against the system.”
We asked for someone to inspect the room so they could see for themselves, and instead we were told we needed to come downstairs. When we did, Cynthia continued to talk to us while chewing food, in front of our baby and my mother-in-law, on Christmas Eve. No empathy. No apology. Just attitude.
Here’s the unbelievable part:
We later learned the claim of smoking came from an internal email citing a timestamp of October 14, 2025 between 7:40–9:40 AM… months before we even arrived at the hotel. And even after they removed the charge, we received no apology for the false accusation and stress it caused our family.
We were also charged $10 for a water bottle and $12 for ice cream, and a staff member acknowledged the pricing was “ridiculous” and a cash grab. Not a great sign for guest trust.
The only bright spots were Krista at check-in and the attendant who brought up the pack-and-play. They actually cared. The rest felt like we were intruding on their day.
We chose Hilton for peace of mind and a reliable family experience. Instead, we spent our holiday dealing with cold showers, accusations based on the wrong dates, and a manager implying we were lying.
We are already escalating this to Hilton Corporate.
No family deserves to be treated like that — especially at Christmas.

We stayed here for an event in St Petersburg area.
This place should be closed down. The rooms are terribly small. Beds highly undesirable. They offer 2 double beds for a family of 4. There was no sofa chair to sit. One small desk and a desk chair completes the furniture. Bathroom is tiny. But the worst are the wall to wall carpets. All of us who were in different rooms and on different floors had the same experience with carpets. They are dirty and give out a residue on the feet if you walk bare feet. I think it is a hazard to be staying in this property. This is one of those old unkept hiltons.
They focused on the ambience in the lobby (even there the sofas ain’t good). The pool, the staff and the location are the only 3 positives. I wouldn’t want to stay in the rooms here again: I hope not.
