We checked in through Expedia 1/9/26. The hotel was very dated and reminded me of a Mom and Pop operation. Our room was not clean and smelled of musk and mildew. Asked to see another room. It smelled like a dog. They gave us keys to a 3rd room. It also had the smell of musk and mold. We left and went to Hyatt Place several doors down. Thankfully Expedia gave us a full refund. It reminded me of a hotel from the 60's that had not undergone any updates. The staff was friendly but not enough to compensate for the other deficits.

The TV position in the room is weird awkward view from the couch if you're laying on the bed on your back it's fine on your side it's awkward. Really clean rooms and grounds. Perfect place to stay for the Christmas lights. Almost no traffic to and from the parking lot for the shuttle. Breakfast was ok.... But who doesn't serve bacon? Seconds of a walk to the beach probably gets pricey during the summer but was very reasonable for staying in town for the Christmas lights.

The room is clean, and the housekeeping service has been adequate during our stay, which is a positive point. However, the overall experience has not lived up to the price the hotel charges. The customer service is neither friendly nor empathetic, and they don't offer real solutions to important issues. The breakfast has very little variety, which is disappointing considering the cost of the accommodation. Furthermore, the hotel charges $16 per night for parking, which is completely dark, creating an unnecessary feeling of insecurity. Most concerning is that we have been showering with cold water for three consecutive nights. When we reported this, Customer Service told us that the hotel only has two water heaters and that we should avoid showering during "peak hours," but they were never able to clearly tell us what those peak hours are. We consider it unacceptable that, paying high rates, guests are expected to adjust their basic needs due to operational deficiencies at the hotel. To provide context, we booked two rooms for four nights, at a total cost of nearly $2,000, which is not inexpensive. For that price, we expect a much higher level of service, comfort, and attention. Unfortunately, the price-quality ratio is poor, and I would not recommend this hotel until they improve their customer service and resolve basic issues such as the lack of hot water and much more.

We had a company Christmas party in St Augustine. I used my credit card to pay for my room and two nights for an employee training. The total charge should have been in the $600 range. I have been charged over $1,000 and have tried to get them to fix it for a week and a half with excuses, VM's etc - they acknowledge I am correct but won't process the credit. Beware of this hotel. It could also use some updates....
