  Our stay offered a stark contrast between excellent personal service and several disappointing policies and oversights that significantly impacted our visit. We want to sincerely thank Steffani and Brittany Tackett at the front desk. They were the highlight of our stay—exceptionally helpful, friendly, and proactive. When they saw the forecast for heavy showers, they kindly offered to lend us umbrellas, which was a thoughtful and practical gesture. They also provided excellent, concise tips for visiting the Historic District, St. George Street, and the Castillo de San Marcos. However, a few critical issues prevented a positive overall experience. First, as Hilton Honors members, we were very disappointed to find a mandatory $15 daily parking charge. We have never encountered this fee at other Hampton Inn locations, and it felt like an unwelcome surprise that penalizes loyal guests. This frustration was compounded at night when we struggled to find parking near the hotel. Second, a basic housekeeping failure undermined our comfort: the bedsheets had hairs on them and were not properly clean. This is a fundamental expectation that was not met. In summary, while Steffani and Brittany's customer service was exemplary, the combination of an unexpected parking fee for Honors members and cleanliness issues makes it difficult to recommend this property without reservation.   This place was disgusting. I genuinely don't understand all the positive ratings. Upon walking into the room, we were hit with the smell of mold and mildew. After finding significant water leakage, and the smell, coming from the closet area (see picture), we didn't bother hanging up our clothes and kept everything in the suitcase. The bathroom faucet was broken, water pressure was not strong. Same thing with the shower. The pipes clearly had a leak and the water streamed at half power. There's 1 small towel rack and no other places to hang towels. I used the shower frequently because the laminate floors were clearly not cleaned and all my family had black dirt on our feet. At bedtime, we opened up one of the sofa beds and got a surprise of period blood on the sheets which clearly signified they hadn't been changed. The second sofa bed also had questionable sheets. Make Up, specifically heavy black eye makeup (eyeliner and/mascara) and pink lipstick were all over the pillow cases. We requested fresh pillow cases, sheets and extra blankets, that appeared to be clean and we stripped the bed. I sprayed lysol that I got when I ran out to CVS down the street and my daughter slept on a blanket. No flat sheet for either pull out and the sofa mattresses were covered in plastic. I scrapped my arm on the nightstand in the middle of night, so that cut is healing. I was reaching over for my ear plugs because the drag racing on the street outside was so loud, it woke us up. It's 2 days past our stay and my family is fighting sinus & nasal congestion which is from the mold & mildew exposure. Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else. I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member for work travel but due to the location and since it was only for 2 nights, we decided to stay this property. After this stay, I will never book with a Hilton brand again. This property was disgusting.
