Had a very pleasant stay here. Nice stretch of beach, nice rooms, kind staff, no weird smells. About a 9 minute walk from a few restaurants that don't find themselves in hotels, but I walk fast. Cocktails are a little overpriced and the only grocery store in walking distance is kind of scant, if grocery stores are your thing. I would absolutely spend a weekend or something here, no doubt. If you're a pilot and your plane is broke, it's worth the 25 minute drive.

I don’t review often, but feel compelled to because my family’s experience was so different than so many of the negative reviews here. From the woman who checked us in, to the restaurant hosts & servers, to the pool and beach attendants we had the most wonderful trip thanks to the warmth of the staff. I wish I caught the name of the person who checked us in. She was so kind and made a huge effort to help get us situated as soon as possible. We are new parents, and she helped us get an early check in while we corralled an over tired baby, all while smiling and being so cheerful. She was blonde and was chatting to us about Cuba, if that helps identify her! She really helped set the tone for the nicest stay. The folks at the restaurant were so friendly and Chase helped us so much on the beach. It was our first attempt at sitting on the beach with our baby and he was so beyond helpful (especially on a windy day when umbrellas weren’t feasible). The men working in the parking lot helped me with my stroller more times than I can count. All of this was without asking! Everyone on staff jumped in to help before I even realized I needed it. I can’t stress enough how different our experience was from the negative reviews we’d read. I booked this stay through my credit card and I only saw the negative reviews on Google when I looked up the address to share with someone a few days before we left. I’m so glad I hadn’t seen the reviews earlier because it would have deterred me from keeping this booking and what ended up being a really magical family trip.

Would not recommend. Getting budget hotel for upscale price. Room decor good— tiny fridge with no microwave, limited hangars— had to have maintenance come because room was 63 degrees— they had to go into ceiling to flip a switch???— safe didn’t work- had to be replaced, tub drains slow…. $30 a day for an extra lounge chair even though I paid price for three!!! Overall- poor experience!

We are Hilton honors members. We have come specifically to this location the past three years to bring in the New Year’s. The service has steadily declined. I needed a handicap accessible room, spoke to someone about this four times before I came here. The room assigned was a hearing and visual accessible room, but I needed a wheelchair accessible room. So they moved me to a different room that came equipped with grab bars but I could not get in the bathroom with the wheelchair, so they physically removed the bathroom door in order to allow me access ( see image below) but there was no privacy. $500 a night for a room that you can’t get towels and washcloths is unacceptable. I don’t want to feel like a burden for something that should be part of my service. Every day we were here we had to go down and ask for these items as well as toilet tissue. Only one elevator was working the same issue this time last year. One operational elevator made getting in and out very difficult. No one talked about how to make any of this right despite our protestations. I do not intend to come back here next year because there’s competition and choices. This site is not competitive in terms of its service and concerns. I’m still waiting for somebody to try to make this better. It can’t be made right, what is done is done.

The hotel and rooms were wonderful. Our only negative experience was we did not have bath towels on our bathroom. We called for them a couple of times, but in the end we retrieved them from the lobby. Another customer was also downstairs with the same issue. However, we were pleased with the stay have would definitely return.
