Arrived @ 2400 after flight delay. On the 7th floor and no elevator. Front desk attendant said we (in our 60’s) would have to walk up with luggage. No help, no explanation. Asked why they did not contact us earlier….again, no response. Then she offered to cancel our reservation. Asked her to contact other Hilton properties, her response “we don’t do that “ because we are privately owned and not part of Hilton. Funny as it says Hilton on all the signs. Called Hilton to get some help and was sent to a far off land only to be continually transferred. Eventually they said they would send an email after connecting with the property. No email arrived. The next day we attempted to speak with the GM who complained he had to haul his 46 year old body up the stairs too. Told him he was disrespectful to the guests and was running an unsafe facility. He responded that he was getting tired of receiving complaints for the last day. (Mistakenly thought he was trained in hospitality). He eventually promised to give points but that never happened. I have no other choice but to contest the charges due to the Breach of the Hampton service guarantee. I’ll save you the torture of discussing breakfast.

I’ve been a Hilton Honors member for many years, and during my recent stay at this hotel, I was surprised to learn that I had to pay for parking. The property isn’t in a prime or downtown location, and I’ve never been charged for parking at comparable Hilton hotels across the U.S. When I returned late at night, there were no available parking spots. We had two cars and ended up waiting a long time for someone to leave. When I mentioned this to the front desk, I was told the hotel was at full capacity. Paying a parking fee and then not having guaranteed parking felt unfair. I requested compensation for the parking charge, but the staff declined. This experience was disappointing and inconsistent with the level of service I’ve come to expect as a long-time Hilton Honors member. Aside from the parking issue, the hotel itself was great, including the breakfast. However, charging guests for a service they did not receive is simply not right.

Manny Sanchez refused to check us in at 9:00pm because we were traveling with a truck and trailer and said we would have to park elsewhere(which was impossible without the risk of theft or vandalism) the parking lot was half empty and the hotel nowhere near full occupancy. I could completely understand if we were by the interstate or in a scenario where the parking lot was anywhere near full. Thank you Manny for your terrible customer service. I would not spend a dime here out of principle alone. I can only imagine if the general manager was this unprofessional, the rest of the operation likely follows leadership

Our stay at Hampton Inn Pompano was nothing short of phenomenal! We were warmly greeted and checked in by Maria Saldana (Sales Manager). The hotel is very clean and centrally located just minutes away from shopping plazas, major department stores, major grocery stores, beaches, and restaurants. You're within minutes from everything! Fresh and clean rooms, comfy beds, and a superb Continental breakfast you'll be sure to enjoy. We'll be back for sure! 💯

STAY AWAY!!! HEALTH RISK!!! This hotel has a roach infestation. I stayed Oct 13-14. The hotel has a musky smell to it, but I thought nothing of it. Around 11 PM the night of the 14th, I was getting ready for bed and saw multiple roaches crawling around my suitcase (Was able to grab a picture of one of them -- attached). I immediately booked a new hotel and went to the front desk to let them know. All they offered was a change of rooms. When I told them I had already booked a new hotel, they told me that was "too bad" and I would be charged for the night. I told them I was happy to pay for the night of the 13th, but would not pay for the night of the 14th (as I had a new hotel due to the roach issue). They let me know I would still be charged. When I continued to ask why, the front desk employee was extremely rude telling me that that was how it was and there was nothing they could do about it. They told me that a few roaches wasn't "that bad" and were shocked that I wouldn't just change rooms. When I told them that I was still leaving that night and expected to not pay for that nights stay, they told me the manager would contact me in the following days to dispute that nights stay. I was never contacted and paid in full for a night I did NOT spend at the hotel. I stay 100+ nights per year in Hilton properties and have never been treated this way. Roach infestations happen, however with the way I was treated at this property I have no reason to believe they are dealing with it. There are many good hotels in the area -- I went to Hotel Dello in Ft Lauderdale and had an amazing experience after this for the same price point. Stay FAR away from this property.
