  The main reason that I am reaching out is because on November 3rd, we stayed in at Holiday Inn Resort Orlando and when we checked out the following day, my computer came up missing. I had called the front desk around 10 am to extend our stay. The lady mentioned that we could have the room until noon. My family and I went down to the pool. When we came back from the pool we were locked out of the room. I ended up having to go up to the front desk to give us access. No big deal. However, after getting to the airport I realized my school computer was missing. When I called the hotel, they had told me they had striped the room but not cleaned it and hadn't come across anything. I do know that I used the computer last in that room. I gave them the description and everything. They have since put me on hold multiple times to the point where I have had to hang up. I have left messages in the lost and found and have requested that they call me back, they have not. I am most certain that it is there. They have not been the best to cooperate with at all. Nor have they called back. GENERAL MANAGER at the front desk, made it known that she didn't care about my missing computer or the fact that I believe that if it's not turned in, someone took it. which is the 2nd issue that I came to complain about. (Manager and the lack of care from the staff). Before any questions can become of this, yes, I have contacted the airport and yes, I have contacted the rental. The rental came back negative with nothing left in the car, nor nothing left in lost and found. This I can also confirm. The airport I paid x amount of dollars to get a 24- 48 hr turn around to confirm if they have it or not. They have since gotten me back and confirmed that they have not located it. They are still continuing to look for it. But still, it's not there, and at this time, that just confirms to me that it is not there but still taking the time to look. Here is the other thing, I have the computer charger, just not the computer. And yes, before you can question that, the computer and the charger would have been on my carry on and not under the plane. Hence the reasoning as well for them to look at the airport, because my bag got flagged for my son's epi pen. Which I thought maybe I forgot to take computer out, they did, and they forgot to put back in- which is also another reason on why I wanted the airport to look into it. Which again, the airport has confirmed they have NOT located. The laptop is a silver hp with the name Corinne Hastings on the sticker. I have several other stickers on it that have a heart which is half-light and half dark. A reaper, a I became a teacher for the money and fame, and anime girl in a pink tutu, I believe a green dinosaur and a few others. On the bottom of the computer there is a purple sticker with the name lakeview middle school written on it. When you try to login it asks you to sign in under my name Corinne Hastings. I am looking for this to be resolved. I do know that when the school tracked it last, it came to that hotel. Being ignored at this point, makes it frustrating, especially after reading all the reviews (and it all appears that they are all around the same timeframe). I have been ignored to the point of having to hang up the phone due to being left on hold over 20 minutes, I have not even gotten an email back either in regard to the ones that I have emailed nor any phone calls. I also got bombarded with the timeshare people and was lied to even after specifically asking questions.

  We arrived around 10pm on a Friday to find a line of about 100 ppl checking in. Not an exaggeration - see photo. After 50 mins of waiting we were finally checked in. Now close to 11pm, I am stopped on my way out of the lobby by a staff member. “Sir we want to apologize for the inconvenience by offering you a credit of $130”. Sure - that seems reasonable. I handed her my ID and she made small talk with me as she entered it into her computer. At this point she starts telling me that I can take $130 cash or 7 nights stay at an IGH property. I said I will take cash and she starts on about some other property and it immediately becomes clear that she wants me to sit in on a 90minute timeshare presentation to get this offer. She has now wasted 10 more mins of my time. Absolute worst hotel experience in my life. I am putting IGH and specifically Holiday Inn on a hard no stay list. Will never go to one of their properties again. EVER.

  This resort used to be a favorite of ours. We usually stay the day before a cruise. The convenience of having the waterpark for our boys and their own space in the room was enticing. However, since the last stay, this place is a nightmare. The check in process has changed into the main event center. As soon as I walked in, I was overrun by pushy timeshare people. After saying no thank you 3 times, I finally had to tell it at them. I was appalled that they now charge $30 to park! Why?!?! I can’t park anywhere else while I’m staying with you! I already pay resort fees for the waterpark that features moldy chairs, slides that are in need of maintenance, and the view of construction. I understand you are trying to better the place, but according to reviews in the past, nothing much has changed in the last few months. Most elevators are out of order which is unfortunate to the ones who have rooms across the resort. The essence of weed and cigarette smoke that filled our room was disgusting. Yes you have “designated” areas, but who is enforcing this? Isn’t that was resort fees pay? There is tape holding on plaster on the corners of the building. Quiet time is 10pm yet at 2:30am kids were running up and down our hall. You offer a pull out couch with no extra pillows or blankets. Not very ideal for families. It’s so heartbreaking to see just a landmark go down hill so fast. If you’re going to charge large fees, at least put it towards the resort.

  I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last couple years and every time I go there it gets worse and worse and worse. This time was the last time I will ever go there. it seems to me that none of the housekeeping ladies can speak any English nor can they read English when we entered our room it smelled heavy of bleach, which at first I thought was a good thing meaning the room might be clean, even though I’ve never smelled a hotel room smell like bleach like that before after a few hours I realized why it smelled like bleach as the bleach smell faded. There was an overwhelming smell of dog throughout the whole entire two bedroom suite we were in it was almost unbearable, as if somebody had stayed there with several dogs that had not been bathed in forever. It was a horrible smell when we left in the morning all our clothes smell like that. Nasty animal smell in addition to that there were no washcloths in the bathroom and housekeeping, left shampoo and conditioner, but instead of bidy wash left a bottle of hand wash in the bathtub both beds were extremely filthy and dirty. My daughter, who is sleeping in the bottom of the bunkbeds, noticed there was a bunch of towels crammed between the mattress and the frame of the bed and when she pulled them out, they were all yellow, as if somebody had peed on them and just left them there I don’t know what that was or how they got there, but that was thoroughly disgusting.There were a little feet prints all over both beds as if they had not cleaned or changed the sheets before we arrived. from about 7 o’clock in the evening to about two in the morning, it sounded like there was a stampede of cattle running through the room above us I am AssumingThat those people Had a bunch of children and just left them run wild, but it was very hard to sleep with all that jumping around and constant banging going on upstairs and even though I complained to the front desk about the constant noise, nothing was done about it.the hotel Wi-Fi did not work at all the whole time we were there and every time you walk outside into the parking lot, you’re a subject to hearing the most god-awful rap, music blurring from all the cars driving around the complex all evening long and the security that rides around on their little golf carts, doesn’t do anything about it because they seem to enjoy it. This used to be a hotel that we were very happy to come visit and stay at as I said before we have stayed here many times over the years and always found it to be very nice. However, the last few times we’ve come it just seems to be nastier and nastier and management does not seem to care . There is a reason why the rooms are so cheap do not be fooled by this hotel if you have a family with young kids and you’re looking to have a nice time at Disney World find somewhere else to stay as your magical weekend will be ruined by the nastiness the unprofessionalism and the hood mentality of the whole place.
