We loved staying here, I just wish the weather was a bit warmer so it wasn’t so cold getting out of the pool, but that’s obviously not the Grande Villas fault. What we liked best - all the activities. Our family (all ages from 9-71yo) had fun doing crafts, a scavenger hunt, and the New Year’s Eve party, etc. They have actual crafts like ceramic banks the kids (or adults) can paint, we saw a lady painting a wine glass while the girls painted, and bring home. We checked out the build-a-buddy, and it is actual full sized stuffed animals that you stuff by hand instead of a machine. Our girls decided to keep swimming (the pool is heated) since they were playing a game with some other kids they met at the pool. Everyone was nice from activities to housekeeping and the front desk. The location is great and you’re not much more than 20 minutes from a bunch of delicious restaurants. There are two pools including a kiddie pool at the Turtle Pool (shaped like a turtle) and a two hot tubs (one at each pool section). The Whale Pool is not really shaped like a whale, but it’s ok. There is a little sidewalk that goes around the resort buildings so you can get lots of steps in and it’s easy to walk across the street to the other Hilton location where a few of the activities were. Overall, it was fun and we would not mind coming back.

I wish I could write this review and say that my family had an amazing time at this location. I am hoping this helps, someone else and saves them some of the grief we have experienced. Unfortunately, due to last minute illness we were unable to travel to Orlando and stay at what I have been told is a lovely resort. I am in healthcare, so I am conscientious about getting others sick, especially if it is my young children spreading the illness. Our hope was to not travel and get members of the staff or other families sick. When I reached out to the resort hoping to move the dates, not even cancel, but move the dates I was given the run around and sent back to the third party vendor that I had made the reservation with. Unfortunately, the resort was unwilling to shift my dates around, even after I indicated I was more than happy to pay the difference and any fees that may incur from the shift. Makes you feel like getting other people sick doesn't matter if it means they will be unwilling to help you out in an emergency. So all this to be said, get travel insurance or sign up for the most expensive option that will allow you to make changes if needed. We are out $900 on what should have been a New Year's family getaway, but thankfully have rescheduled to February at another resort. I really do hope this is fair warning to any other families travelling with small children because life happens. In this economy, $900 is significant, and when organizations are just looking out for their own interests and not that of patrons, it's unfortunate.

I appreciate the very friendly and courteous service from the staff, which was the best part of our stay. Unfortunately, several issues made our experience uncomfortable. The bed sheets were not properly fitted and were too short, the pillows had an unpleasant smell, and there was no room service during our stay. Surprisingly, there was no trash bin in the room. The room was also very noisy, which made it difficult to rest. The toilet flush was not working properly, and the floor appeared to have been washed with bleach—the strong smell lingered for four days, even with the windows left open.

I stay at far too many hotels, and it is rare to have a stay that feels uneventful in the best possible way, especially when traveling with my family. We moved our reservation from another location after reading reviews indicating that aggressive sales efforts negatively impacted guests’ stays elsewhere. The approach here made a meaningful difference. Any timeshare related outreach was handled via text message and felt professional and non intrusive, which allowed us to genuinely enjoy our time on property. The staff was also extremely responsive throughout our stay, maintaining a level of service that felt consistent with what I expect from the Hilton brand. A solid experience overall and one I would be comfortable recommending.

I loved this place. I stayed here for my WDW & Universal combo trip and it felt equal distance between the two. The rooms were beautiful, with nice Florida accents. The bathroom was my favorite part. I NEEDED that tub after walking all day and the shower was also spacious enough that you aren't bumping your elbows on the sides. The main downside for me, was there was no laundry in the 1 bedroom and the laundry room hours were very limited (I think it was 10am - 8pm), so if you are trying to get a quick load of laundry in but have a full day of activities, it's not happening. If there is a way to not have a lockoff, I would recommend that. I could hear everything in the living room next to me since it's just a normal door set between the units. The TV situation in the 1 bed living room is also a little strange since they could only fit a tiny one above the closet. If you want to stream anything you will need to bring your own device. The TV only has channels and the content that was playing never matched the TV guide channels in the front. For those reasons, I'd give this place 4.5 stars since they weren't huge deal breakers for my needs. The things about this resort that really set it over the top was the pool hours (7am-11pm) with a perfectly heated pool and big jacuzzi, the restaurant hours (7am-12am) perfect for a post park snack, and all of the activities! The gift shop ended up being way more substantial than I was expecting. They also had housekeeping come a couple of days in for a refresh which rarely happens when staying on timeshare points. They did try to get me into a meeting by making extremely generous offers prior to the trip and at checkin, but after I said no during checkin, they were very respectful in not calling the room during the stay to ask again. I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside after this stay so that I could get Disney transportation for late night Disney Christmas parties. As beautiful as the rooms and property were, I was very sad to no longer have the spacious bathroom, kitchenette, and hot tubs. If this resort had safe, affordable, and reliable transportation late into the night, I think this would be my go to vacation spot. I highly recommend this resort if you are the type of person to rent a car or if you are looking for a nice resort focused vacation.
