The perfect place to stay if you're visiting universal studios. Clean rooms, nice beds, friendly and helpful staff, and they offer a shuttle to the park, can't ask for more than that. The hotel is also close to a number of restaurants, both chain and local alike, and within a 10 minute drive to a grocery store and a mall for any goods and supplies. I'm definitely coming back to universal studios and this is where I will stay when that time comes!

This Hampton Inn near Universal is generally okay, but it didn’t fully match the expectations set by its reviews. The hotel feels quite dated, and some maintenance details stand out, especially in the bathroom. The shower head offers multiple spray options, but several of them didn’t work properly, likely due to wear over time. It also caused water to leak onto the bathroom floor, and after each shower we had to use towels to dry the floor to avoid slipping. The bathroom ceiling fan is extremely loud when turned on, loud enough that we couldn’t comfortably talk to each other while it was running. There are also visible cracks and older finishes that suggest the property could benefit from updates. Sleep quality was another issue. Sound insulation between rooms is poor: conversations in nearby rooms can be heard very clearly, and when guests are frequently going in and out and slamming doors, the noise and vibrations travel through the room and disrupt rest. On the positive side, the staff is friendly, the A/C works well and housekeeping is done daily. The location is convenient for Universal, even though, as usual in the U.S., walking isn’t really an option. Overall, it’s an ok 3-star hotel with good basics, but with improved maintenance and better sound insulation it could better reflect the ratings it currently has.

The experience has been beyond disappointing. Here are the list of issues throughout our stay. Along with pictures. 1. When checked in around 10 pm, hotel ac was broken and couldn’t work. After an hour fix, it’s Resolved. 2. Hotel towel was covered with hair. Called front desk twice to change, but no one picked up. 3. Hotel claims that they have complementary shuttle to universal, but never told us that it’s first come and first serve. Even though we have been waiting 15 minutes before the scheduled pick up, we couldn’t get in because the bus was already full wit crown plaza guests. This continues throughout our stay so we never got to take the “complimentary shuttle”. 4. Room toilet paper and tissue paper didn’t get refilled for two days. 5. Front desk was never there. After calling, they came out from the back with very bad attitude.

My room was nice but the A/C was a little funky. The only issue was the next day. As I'm carrying my plate in one hand and a cup for waffles in the other, lady kindly states use both hands for the waffle batter. I apparently didn't do it fast enough for her liking because she snatched my cup out of my hand and did it for me. Mind you Im underage no one should be touching me or my stuff. I later seen her talking to a manager I assume and they were looking at me like i was in the wrong. Why is it so hard to treat guests kindly and correctly?
