I’ll tell the truth since no one else is. The pictures are not updated. It smells gross in the lobby bathroom, hallways, and room. AC unit looks like something from the 70s. The staff was kind but location is horrible.

Great location to things, close to the camping world stadium for all the events that happen there. Rooms were turned over everyday, sheets , towels, trash etc. they offer laundry service but no self laundry onsite. Front desk, Ruthe was truly amazing, super helpful and very kind. They have a “Starbucks” in the lobby as well.

The air conditioner had two modes, off or absolute arctic blast. No matter how you messed with the thermostat, that was it. The TV worked for the first 5 minutes we were there, then no signal after that. Pretty big bummer.

Hilton PLEASE renovate this hotel. I felt like I was in an episode of Schitt’s Creek. From the moment I turned in to the parking garage it was a series of “Ew David” moments. This is not what you expect from a Doubletree. The entire property is dirty, with stained and damaged walls, floors, surfaces, and furniture. It smells like a 1970’s NYC cab. The staff was wonderful. Friendly, kind, attentive. I cannot imagine how depressing it must be to work in so drab an environment. I was going to linger in the morning and enjoy a leisurely breakfast as I usually do at a Hilton but I packed and left at 6am to head home to St Pete rather than stay in that dreary room or lobby. Thank you for the food credit as we are Honors members. The cookies, of course, were delicious. It would have been better to stay closer to the Parks where Hiltons are in better condition than stay close to the theater. Lesson learned. Looking forward to a better Hilton stay elsewhere in the future. Again, staff were wonderful. Accommodations not.

Absolutely Disgusting – Avoid at All Costs!!!!!!! POSSIBLE BED BUG INFESTATION!!!!! This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. When I got into bed, I noticed the sheets and blanket were filthy and covered in stains. It took over two hours to get them replaced. My brand-new white socks turned black within minutes of walking on the floor. To make matters worse, I woke up with bug bites all over my body, which makes me believe there were bed bugs. Now I have to worry about bringing them home. I have never been more itchy and frustrated. The room was in terrible condition: the fridge didn’t work, the safe was broken, the phone didn’t work, the towels smelled awful, and the overall cleanliness was disgusting. The toilets barely flushed and the sink would not drain properly. Within seconds of brushing teeth/washing hands, the sink was flooded… The housekeeper couldn’t understand English, making communication and service close to impossible The entire place desperately needs renovations, deep cleaning, and a damn exterminator. If I had an enemy, this is exactly where I’d recommend they stay!!
