We often stay at this property due to the clean spacious rooms, and convenient location, and I never have had a bad stay. This past stay was absolutely above and beyond, and I just have to mention how kind, bubbly and over the top Diamond at the front desk was. We arrived early after chaos with our flights, she was able to check us in early which we were SO grateful for, but on top of that she made great conversation and was so sweet and friendly every time we past her in the lobby. Loved seeing her each morning, and cannot say enough great things about this property!

As a Diamond member, I feel Hilton experience is going down. During check-in we were greeted by Katalia. She was nice but not really personal. No issue, but when I asked about a breakfast voucher, she said there is non. I went to the room and called Hilton honors. They said you do get a voucher. Went back down and another staff member verified you do get $15 credit. I asked for the manager on staff and it was Katalia. Her excuse was that she was answering questions and forgot. This was a lie since I specifically asked. I asked for a free breakfast voucher for this "misunderstanding" and she said no.
Things changed when Suki the morning manager apologized and gave me a free breakfast voucher. Brenda at the breakfast area took care of us for the next 3 days and she was awesome! I would give Suki and Brenda 10 stars! Thank you both for turning a sad situation around.

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our 5th Annual Une Soirée Royale Gala with the Greater Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce at the DoubleTree by Hilton at Universal Orlando, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
From start to finish, the entire DoubleTree Universal team went above and beyond to make our event unforgettable. Thank you to Jessica Maertchik, Miguel, Cesar, Chef Carlos, and Grace for their outstanding service, professionalism, and genuine dedication. Their teamwork, attention to detail, and hospitality truly elevated our gala and made the night seamless and memorable for all our guests.
We look forward to many more incredible events together at DoubleTree Universal. Highly recommended!

Stayed at Hilton DoubleTree for EDC Orlando. The hotel is a bit dated but the front desk staff were really helpful. They gave us cookies when we asked and they were warmed up, which was a nice touch.
The room was clean with comfy beds, clean sheets and towels, and two free water bottles. The AC was broken though and stayed at 54 degrees no matter what we set it to, so it was freezing to sleep all four nights.
They advertise a Starbucks on site but it’s been closed for a couple of months. There’s an ice cream parlor, a restaurant, and a café in the courtyard. Breakfast isn’t included and parking was $33 plus tax per night.
The location is good, close to Universal and plenty of food options. For EDC, it was a quick walk to the Orange Shuttle stop.

If I could give a 0 I would. This hotel is ancient and it hasn't been kept up well at all.
Dents in the wall, peeling wall paper, decorative glass pieces with 50% of them broken.
The check-in took forever. Then I got to the room with the No Smoking sign and I can smell the room without the sign is smoking even though it's supposed to all be non smoking. It's late so I try and call the front desk and the phone doesn't seem to work. I get ready for bed and the toilet breaks and I have to shut the water off. I decide to wait till morning to deal with it given that I'm also not sure what's wrong with the phone.
6:30 I figure out the issue with the phone the line is fraying out of the connector so you have to hold it to hear anything. I call to see if someone can fix the toilet because people are going to need to use it when they're getting up we are told someone will be up in 15 minutes. 30 minutes later I call back and it's clear no one has anything and she asked to describe what the problem is. She then says she will call back. Of course no one called back. Call again and we're told maintenance doesn't come in until after 8am.
Ok so take a shower and while it's all old and not that nice at least they have big bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. They're only great if they have product in them which ours didn't. Also no hair dryer.
Finally 8:30 maintenance comes and replaces the entire innerds of the toilet so at least that now works. The only thing about this hotel that wasn't broken was it's location to universal studios. No side walk from the hotel entrance to the ramp over the road last step planning fail.
