I booked this hotel however canceled WITHIN the cancelation period. <For a Christmas cruise> going through my account noticed a $300.00 charge just this evenin from the Holiday inn. I called spoke with Lizzette or Liz beth she remembered me from my booking and when I called to cancel she said my manager charged you as a no show I dont know why he did that. In this economy that's deplorable and criminal. Unfortunately she was unable to help based on her access since ths reservation was a couple of weeks back but stated her supervisor can refund me if I want to call back in the morning. I have contacted my banking institution. I have my call logs showing my calls speaking with the gentleman to cancel and calling back multiple times after speaking with him because it appeared he wasn't paying attention and I wanted to be certain my cancelation was noted. It appears Lizzbeth noted something as she recalled the situation YET I'm charged as a no show? I'm thankful I had sufficient funds to pay all the things & not receive any missed bills or payments however this could have been catastrophic for me and my family had I not. Best believe I will get my refund and I better hear from someone about this fraudulent charge. I can't imagine how many times in the past they've done this to people unnoticed. I almost missed it!

Underlying Message: DO NOT STAY HERE. Would not go back, would not recommend. Will be contacting IHG about my horrific experience here today. Just retuned from a cruise with my family, and just getting the chance to write this now. I highly doubt that that things have miraculously changed in the 14 days since my 2-night stay as a Gold Elite Member. I have stayed at hundreds of IHG properties, and never in my life have I experienced anything as disgusting, poorly run, and poorly organized as this location. For reference, I do not have high standards - if it's affordable, and it's a place to rest my head, I'll do it. My flight landed very late, so my brother had to check in for my husband and I, as he was staying in the room. I arrived at around 11:30pm, and immediately was horrified. Earlier I had spoken on the phone about needing valet parking, explained how I would be coming late, and was assured I would have a spot. My husband and I pulled up in our rental car at 11:30pm and they informed us that they no longer had spots available, and I would need to park three blocks away, and leave my rental in a public parking garage overnight. We did so, I didn't have the energy after a long day of delays to argue it, and we dealt with that. Upon entering our room, I was floored. The room had an odour that could only be described as cigarette smoke and mould. Our beds were made with dirty sheets - tons of black hairs, clothing fuzz, and other things in the bed. None of us had black hair. The shower had a ton of black hair all over the walls - it clearly had not been cleaned. Long strands, and dirt on the floor of the shower. There was a used Q-tip with ear wax on it beside our in-room phone, on the night stand directly beside my bed. In clear view. Not ours. Toe nail clippings beside the pull-out couch, an entire foot's worth of them. The floor was soft over there as well, as in a soft spot in the carpet which felt like your foot could go through it. When we pulled out the pull-out couch for my mother in-law, we were extremely pleased (haha, not), to find an old condom wrapper, starburst garbage, additional toe nail clippings, and black dirt IN THE PULL OUT BED. So I called the front desk to request fresh blankets, and she unfortunately felt disgusted (we all did) and slept across the top of their small pull-out couch on top of a duvet cover and with a sheet for two days. The room provided the world's smallest garbage can to use. In the washroom, and nothing else. Imagine a garbage can you would use at your desk, but make it smaller. It barely fit anything - that was more of an inconvenience than a disgusting reflection of this poorly ran dump than anything else. Any correspondence I had with the front desk, I felt disregarded and not taken seriously. I called several times to request fresh sheets, or to inform them of how displeased we were with the room. At one point, the lady on the other line said "Yeah, I know.." when I had mentioned that we didn't feel comfortable sleeping on the pull out couch because it had not been cleaned. Never in all of my years of staying with IHG have I experienced such a horrendous stay - I cannot underline all of the reasons this place needs an overhaul, but for the price I paid for two nights I know for a fact that their cleaning staff is not getting paid adequately if they do not care about doing a good job. Attached are some photos of their work! Bravo. TLDR: Do not stay here. It is disgusting.

This Holiday Inn is need of room renovations, and by the look of it that's underway. The exterior needs a new coat of paint, new signage, and some repairs. The pool is currently being renovated and is closed as of 12/30/25. The rooms are well kept up, but seriously outdated. My room had a 32" TV in the bedroom only. I was in a suite with a king bed, which meant that I got a separate kitchen area with a fridge, and a separate room with a living room. The living room had a sleeper couch and was very spacious. However it DID NOT have a TV. In fact, that outdated 32" TV in the bedroom was the only TV in the large suite. It didn't have a way to connect streaming services or your device. Also, the TV was painfully slow to respond to remote inputs. My expectation was that this room have a TV in both the bedroom and the living room. The positives of this hotel are that it's a work in progress and they're making an effort to improve it. Also, the staff is on top of everything here. They're courteous and professional. Best of all, this location is across the street from Bayside Marketplace, tons of eateries, and a few blocks away from Kaseya Center where the Miami Heat play. There's also a McDonald's around the corner, and a 24hr CVS down the street.

Our family stayed here as it was convenient to the port of Miami. Walking in to the hotel, it was easy to see it was quite dated. No biggie! The staff were friendly and we checked in with ease. Our room was on the third floor and from the moment we stepped off the elevator, we had a sinking feeling. Again, the property is dated but the room hallway was also poorly maintained and appeared quite dingy. Our room was equally dated, poorly maintained, and not clean. The air was heavy with the scent of mildew and moisture. The baseboards were scuffed with collected dust coating them, the carpets didn’t appear to have been deep cleaned or even well vacuumed for some time. The bathroom was equally disappointing with peeling ceilings and walls, a tub and surround in desperate need of updating and deep cleaning, and weak water pressure. I will say, we inspected the mattress and sheets for any sort of bugs that might be hanging out and found no evidence - a relief. The bed was actually quite comfortable! Our son was to sleep on the pull out bed: however no linens were provided in the room. Our phone wasn’t working, so my husband went to the front desk to request a blanket for him. He wound up having to go to the desk twice as it was late and we were quite tired and the blanket hadn’t been delivered in a half hour’s time. After the second attempt, “linens” were delivered; however we inexplicably received two mattress liners - not even a fitted sheet. It was actually somewhat funny, and we made due. All this to say - not an optimal property. We won’t choose to stay there again. We booked our rooms using points but would have been mortified to pay the actual rate.
