  Walked into the room to old dirty smoke smell. Went to bathroom to find pubic hair and toe nail clippings still in room. Don’t let the lobby fool you. Hotel is old, dirty and smells. Wouldn’t stay here again even if the room was free.

  We stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Viera Melbourne for a week and overall had a good experience with some notable pros and cons. The location was great, especially for anyone visiting for softball tournaments, with the fields being very close and easy to get to. The lobby kiosk for snacks and drinks, along with the self-serve beer on tap, was a really cool and convenient feature—especially for a newer location. The rooms were very spacious, which we appreciated for a longer stay, and having a full kitchen plus the outdoor grills made dinners much easier and more cost-effective than eating out every night. That said, the flooring in our room was extremely poor quality. It appeared to be some type of square tile or paneling that was popping up in spots—we could feel it move when walking over it, and even our luggage would catch on it, which was frustrating and concerning. Breakfast was decent, but for a week-long stay it became repetitive and not very kid-friendly. Pork tacos being offered every morning didn’t really work well for families with younger kids. Overall, the hotel has great potential with its space, amenities, and conveniences, but some attention to room finishes and more variety in breakfast options would really improve the experience.

  Very disappointed. We figured we would stay at this hotel since it was newer than the other hotels we have stayed at here. The shower did not have hot water and we were told that many of the rooms were like that and they could try to move us to a room that has hot water. The front desk said there was coffee and tea 24x7 but when we tried to get hot water for tea at 5pm, there wasn't any. The bathrooms in the lobby had no paper towels to dry your hands. The breakfast is the worst breakfast we have ever received at any of these types of hotels. In addition, there has not been any cleaning service for the entire stay. We asked at the front desk and were told there was service every other day and came home today to find no service again. We would not recommend the hotel which is very disappointing since We usually like Homewood Suites.
