We didn’t stay in the rooms since we only went to the pool area, but it was such an amazing place — so pretty. We didn’t cook the lobsters there because it was $50 per pound. With six lobsters, it would have cost around $1,000, so we decided to cook them somewhere else. The pool is incredible, with a beautiful view of the ocean. The sunset was stunning — truly so, so pretty. They also have a nice arena and plenty of space to relax. Overall, it’s just a gorgeous spot.

This Hotel is a Fraud!! This is NOT a True Resort! They Overcharge Guests, They Do NOT Clean Guests Rooms, They Allow Smoke In/Around The Buildings And They Have The Audacity To Allow Pets When Their Cleaning Standards Are Terrible! I Left This So Called Resort With A Sinus Infection From ALL The Dust, Dirt And Filth! The Housekeeping Comes At 9AM, If You Are Still In Your Room They Will Not Come Back For The Rest Of The Day! No Requests Will Be Honered As No Housekeepers Are On Site After 3PM. They Provide Robes But No Slippers! When I Asked Nobody Knew What That Was. All Robes, Sheets And Duvets Was Filled With Hair! Hair Was Everywhere! When I Finally Called Hilton To Get My Room Cleaned After 3 Days Of Asking For My Room To Be Cleaned, They Only Picked Up The Dirty Towels, Emptied The Trash And Made The Bed. Nothing Was Wiped Down Or Sanitized The Entire Stay! No Sheets Were Changed! Even After Asking Several Times! Premium Wellness Rooms Have Eucalyptus Spray For The Shower, That Is What You Are Paying Extra For! An Essential Oil You Can Buy For Way Cheaper And Bring With You. If You Complain, They Will Always Be Calling And Telling The Manager Whomever That Is With No Resolve! The Pools! Which Wasn't Cleaned The Whole Week I stayed There! They Put Yellow Crime Scene Tape Around The One Next To The Rooms After Not Cleaning It For Days! The Ocean Spa Is Also Non Existent, Even though They Have Signs On The Property That Bring You To A Desk For The Ocean Spa That Is Always Closed! And Anybody Can Use The So Called Spa Pool! Hilton How Can You Allow This Property To Be A Part Of Your Brand When They Are Doing This! This is NOT The Hilton Standard! The only area I saw that was cleaned frequently was the lobby and arrival area so they can keep up this Facade! I Have Contacted Hilton Honors And Nothing Is Being Done! I Checked Out And These People Charge My Card For Over $2000 Dollars That I Did Not Agree To! My Print Out Checkout Receipt Says $1689. And I Still Want A Refund! I Only Ate At The Restaurant Twice Which I Spent Less Than $80 dollars! They Charged Me So Much More! The Restaurant Has A Limited Menu, And The Food Was Ok. The Pictures On The Website Does Not Represent The True Condition Of The Hotel And Property! The Location Is Good But There Are A Few Actual Resorts That Are In The Same Area! Do Your Research! The So Called Beach Area Is A Literal Corner Of The Property, A Very Small Corner And It Is Shared With The Property Next Door The Courtyard Marriott Also Named Faro Blanco. During My Time in Marathon I Have Heard I Am Not The Only Person This Has Happened To From Locals! This Property Ruined My Florida Keys Vacation! Thanks For Nothing! I Am Seriously Rethinking Staying At Any @hiltonhotels Ever Again! I want My Money Back!! 😡👿😤😾 #faroblancoresort #hilton #marathonkeyflorida

The grounds at Faro Blanco are lovely and the location is great. A little disappointed that there was no coffee anywhere in the hotel until 7 am, and for an early riser, that’s late. But Starbucks was a block away. The rooms, although they look great, simply do not deliver. The beds are the hardest you’ll ever sleep on, which seems to be a Hilton thing. And the bathroom, ugh. The bathroom door is frosted glass, and there is a frosted glass window between the room and bathroom. Meaning, if you need to use restroom or shower you’ll do it in the dark or else you’ll wake everyone else up in the room. And let’s talk about the front desk staff. Not rude, but not overly anxious to help, and they’ll do it without a smile. My status as a gold member wasn’t even acknowledged. The spa was understaffed and closed on Sunday. The only bar on the property was not open for football Sunday, and the housekeeper would not give us toilet paper, but made us go to the Front desk to get it ourselves. The one bright spot is that was that there was a Courtyard by Marriott on the same property that had free Starbucks coffee. But they didn’t open until 7 am either. Overall, the resort is a real bummer.

A 2-star hotel masquerading as a 4-star hotel. I have never felt moved enough by a hotel experience to make a comment - until my stay here. The hotel rooms are nicely designed as are the lobby and restaurant, the grounds are pretty, too. Those are the only nice things about this hotel. That’s the reason for the additional star. The rooms are absolutely disgusting in regard to cleanliness. I switched rooms 2 times (3 hotel rooms) and each of the three rooms were dirty. Not just a hair or two, full on urine and fecal stains on the toilet, yellow sludge in the next toilet, third toilet was okay but the lid was not attached properly which led to the seat slipping and sliding and your bottom touching the rim. Dirty sheets in all three rooms, dirty towel in the second with what looked like makeup stains. There are marks along the walls from where luggage has been slid around, dirty floors, showers, and tubs. I went through a container and half of Clorox wipes during my stay. The beds are firm, hard. My hotel phone didn’t work in the third room, no bag for ice, either. I called the next day for an ice bag and they brought me tiny bags that looked like they were meant for deli pickles. There was no way I could get ice in there, they weren’t meant for ice. Also, the peep hole was installed incorrectly so it was open at all times, I eventually wedged a post it note so the hole was covered. The staff was nice enough but having to go back to a dirty room each night ruined my trip. I had to switch from a king size room to a double bed(s) and no appeasement was offered. Not even a drink. I eventually gave up moving rooms because it’s clear cleanliness is not a priority at this establishment, I should’ve read reviews as this seems to be a common theme but I had faith in the Hilton name, I guess. I eventually decided to cancel my stay but they made me pay for two nights (I was trying to leave at 5pm on my second day) so I said I’ll stay this night since I have to pay, then ultimately chose to stay because it would’ve been a hassle to move hotels for last night of my 3 night trip. Also the spa was closed for my entire stay and no one answered the phones. The rooms are located in a separate building from reception and the door remains open 24/7. They have key access technology but they keep the doors to guest room area open with river rock stones, stolen from the spa I assume lol. If you’re looking for a comfortable, clean, and pleasant experience DO NOT, for your sanity, stay here.
