Terrible experience
Booked my room more than a month prior to my stay, we showed up Sunday night after driving down from Miami. When we arrived at the resort I was told my room's AC went out and I'd have to be relocated for one night and then come back to finish my stay. At that point the desk agent started calling other resorts and hotels to find everything was sold out unless I wanted to pay $1200 for the night at some unnamed property as Faro Blanco will not cover the cost. I was able to find another place after calling Hilton's Diamond line back north in Key Largo(90 minutes back tracking). Ask the agent why I wasn't called earlier in the day so I could make plans, he had no answer, I ask him to call his GM, he refused. In the 90 minutes I was at the front desk I witnessed at least 6 groups of people come to complain about various things, no hot water, no WIFI, no pillows, no AC etc. It's been 8 days and still nobody from this property or Hilton has made any efforts to make this right. I've been a Diamond member since 2017 and this is by far the worst Hilton experience I've ever had.

Beautiful location and a very clean, well-kept property. Unfortunately, the hotel was clearly understaffed during our New Year’s Eve stay. While the employees who were present were kind and hardworking, we went two days without room cleaning despite requesting service multiple times.
I do want to specifically recognize George, the manager — he is absolutely this property’s greatest asset and the main reason guests would consider returning. He was consistently present, friendly, and doing everything possible to manage a very challenging situation. I saw him working long days, including New Year’s Eve, and back again the next morning. His dedication did not go unnoticed.
This property has strong potential, but it needs adequate staffing support to bring it up to Curio standards. George cannot do it all alone.

This hotel is better than a cockroach infested hotel key west shack BUT not worth $650 a night. The front desk is actually at the back of the property. This is an old Hyatt. You might recognize that when you first pull up.
We went three days without towels. We had no hot water. The room was dirty when we checked in. The couch is stained pink in places. The phone in the room didn't work - no wire to the wall. The caulk in the shower is coming loose. The water pressure is poor. There were no coffee pods in the room. There are lights burned out in the room.
The water was better on day 3....hot water was up to 98F. The issue is that water needs to be 120F at a minimum to prevent legionella disease.
Where are the pictures of the rooms when you book? You see the grounds....you see the restaurant. Ahh the rooms? It's a standard room you'd get at Hampton inn. We paid $2000 for three nights here. I do not recommend staying here unless you know what you're getting into.
I will say that the manager, George, tried his best. He's making do with what he's got. But save him the hassle of having to hear your complaints and just don't stay here.

I’m giving this a 2 star solely for the location and grounds. Location was close to a lot of good restaurants, the bridge, and a nice beach. The grounds are pretty, with two nice pools, one being close to the marina and bar. Service, however was poor. House keeping did not do a very good job. Considering the cost. We came back to a dirty room, and dirty wet towels folded. Beds were uncomfortable. The doors to the bathroom were not very private. Pool towels were scarce. WiFi is spotty. Overall disappointed.

After 12 hrs of travel to get here we were greeted with an absolutely rude and combative waitresses that resulted in a forced tip for a "large table" (family of 5), then we settled into our room at 10pm to find the TV did not work. Maintenance left our room at 11pm and told us to contact the front desk to "figure it out". Front desk took until almost 12am to tell us to relocate to another room if we wanted a TV. My children were asleep and that was not an option for us. There was no other concession offered. In the morning we went to get coffees and breakfast sandwiches at the bistro by the front desk, we were informed that we must be served in the restaurant if we wanted anything to eat, ridiculous!!! Why have a bistro with a menu on the wall if you're not serving those items there. Then to top it off I used the restroom in the hotel lobby to be greeted with no toilet paper!! So I waddled to the next restroom, cleaned up, packed our bags, and left the place. NEVER AGAIN! I spend over $1200 for a 12hr nightmare!!!
