- JHJen HaltermanDec 7, 20254.0Great hotel on the harbor front in Amelia Island. We used points/night awards and were upgraded to a 2 queen suite. The room is big and the hotel is quiet, even with a wedding party here. All of the amenities are great - always fresh coffee. Breakfast is typical - there is a 'cafe' on the second floor - but its typical - what I call fake eggs and the waffle machines. They do have fruit, cereal etc. but I would like to see a restaurant onsite especially with not being able to come and go due to the parking situation and most nearby restaurants being pretty small so depends on how busy everything is. The service from employees is great as well. The location is perfect - right beside the welcome center, a couple blocks from Centre street where most of the shops and restaurants are. The only comments I have that are not A+ are the parking - we did get lucky when arriving at 9pm that we found a spot and there is some 'secret' parking underneath the building in the back on the stones as well as an overflow lot across the street. But its mostly full - we were hesitant to come and go in fear we would end up street parking. BUT if you get here near check-in time and can park your car and walk everywhere and are interested in the historic downtown area, this location is perfect. Christmas market starts next week - I imagine it will get worse through the rest of the year.
