I go to the Ray everytime I am in Del Ray. It is my go to spot. I truly feel like I am at home when I arrive. The front desk treated me great. From Check in to check out everyone was amazing. The only thing I would mention. The past 5 plus years I have been going to the Ray. Some how turn down the beep in the elevator. It echoes lound in both of the elvators. I even made a joke when checking in. I said my only complaint and its small complaint. Is how loud the beep is. Everyone laughed and said we hear that alot.. Also If you dont have the American express Hilton card. I strongly recommend you get it. It adds more to your stay when at a Hilton.. Happy New Years

The Ray Hotel Delray Beach offers a fun and lively rooftop experience. We had a great time enjoying a gorgeous night with live music and a really nice atmosphere. Cocktails were good and the overall vibe was upscale and enjoyable. The only odd part was being served canned beer unopened, without a glass, which felt a bit unusual for a hotel of this caliber. Aside from that, everything else was very good and it’s definitely a great spot to check out in Delray Beach.

Sharing this as constructive feedback for management and future guests. The Hotel: My husband and I were delayed getting to our after party at Rosewater Rooftop because the room we were checking into for the evening had not been turned over. It was filled with leftover Chinese food and dirty towels everywhere. For the amount we were paying for a single evening, this was extremely disappointing. The evening front desk manager was apologetic and kind, but it was frustrating that the room was not ready, even though we arrived later than planned while waiting for our wedding guests to leave a different reception venue from a separate location to attend Rosewater. Rosewater Rooftop: There was confusion when guests arrived, and when my husband and I finally got there, we learned from our guests that much of the food we paid for had not been delivered. Within minutes, last call was announced, which was confusing because we were told the rooftop would be open late, and I had communicated that to our out-of-state guests. Staff then rudely told my husband that the closing time we were given was incorrect and that some guests needed to be removed for being “rowdy,” which was not true. Our guests were simply trying to relax and have a nightcap after a full day of wedding festivities. Another wedding party (not affiliated with us) was visibly intoxicated, with one guest covered in vomit. While I understand the need to remove disruptive guests, it is unclear why they were allowed in at all. Only one staff member working the restaurant that evening took the time to listen to us and hear our concerns, and try to rectify it. Overall, the treatment we received felt unwelcoming, as we were blamed for another party’s behavior and given conflicting information from management weeks prior. I sent a detailed email outlining these concerns a few days later and followed up a week later — still, I have received no response or apology. I truly dislike leaving negative reviews, but this experience dampened an otherwise beautiful day. I am not seeking a refund or compensation—this review is intended as feedback for management and to help others planning wedding events, especially on a budget. While both properties are beautiful, the lack of communication and proper execution made this a disappointing experience. This may be fine for a quick dinner, but I would not recommend it for planned events.

Lets start off by saying, I booked my room over two months in advance after weeks of searching for the perfectly "upscale" and "clean" hotel to suffice my germaphobe standards. All of my friends were staying at the hyatt down the block, but I wasn't comfortable. I was super confident in my choice of hotel because of how well The Ray is marketed online. My flight landed around 9pm, by the time I checked in and got settled it was around 11:30pm. I shower and go to get in bed for the night, pull the sheets back and find what appears to be a VERY long ginger womens hairs (my hair is jet black). I immediately got disgusted and prompted myself to look around some more. I tear my sheets apart, and all I keep finding is more ginger hair, shedding of lashes on my pillowcases, and what appeared to be "brown" shmears on the fitted sheet that was covered by the four massive pillows on the bed. At this point I'm exhausted, and can't bring myself to sleep because of how disgusted i felt.. knowing this was probably sheets from the previous guest. I call downstairs around 12 am, and I'm told that "housekeeping has left for the night" and there was nothing they could do. After 12 am, housekeeping and the front desk leaves, so the only person you will encounter or have answering any late night call is a security guard that doesn't even know where he can find a disposable spoon from for a guest. I end up giving up and LAYING down a pile of BATH TOWELS to sleep on. The didn't change my sheets the whole time i was there no matter how much I asked, they only changed my pillow cases. Fast forward the rest of my 7 day stay I developed bodily acne and horrible neck acne from how dirty I think the bed sheets were, and the acne is still healing till this day. It was also impossible to wash my face in the sink because the sink water does not flow and TRICKLES. It would take over a min to fill my palms with water. The heater in my room never worked my entire trip. My room at one point was at 61 degrees when I walked in.. and I was practically hypothermic. It would take my heater 2 hours to get to 71, and would never go past that. My floors upon my arrival were STICKY and moist, and it never went away. I came back into my room one night after a tiring day and found my balcony door just open??? so i don't know how that happened.. Every request to the front desk took anywhere from 30-50 mins to be fulfilled. Imagine being on a trip for work as a travel nurse, coming back to your hotel to take a shower, after a very long hospital shift, only for you to be sitting on the floor waiting for towels to come up to the room for 45 MINS. I asked for a hot water kettle since the hotel doesn't have a kitchen for them to bring up hot water for tea. I get to using the kettle, and as I'm pouring out my hot water.. I find black specs all in my drink. Turns out the inside of the hot water kettle was flaking off and there was sediments at the bottom of my water. I brought the issues up, but they were never really addressed with care. I asked for a partial refund upon departure (After I showed proof on video of everything) and all they did was take off 2 days worth of my resort fee. Honestly a joke. I was uncomfortable my entire stay. I travel to the area for work often, and this appeared to be the most "decent" hotel in the del ray area and now idk where I can stay after this. Would not recommend, unless you happen to not get a "DUD room"

We hosted our wedding day and welcome party at The Ray in November 2025. The venue is in a perfect location just off of Atlantic Avenue in Delray and in the up-and-coming Pineapple Grove area. The space is very well maintained, the rooms are very nice, and the aesthetic is perfect for a modern and upscale Florida vibe. The food served during the reception was outstanding and cooked perfectly, some of the best “banquet” food we have ever had. The service staff was kind and helpful. With the exception of a few minor hiccups, the events ran smoothly and came together for a wonderful wedding weekend. Similarly to other reviewers here, we will share that we did have pretty consistent issues with The Ray’s event sales and planning team. In our 10 months working with The Ray, we had four separate points of contact that we were transitioned between (some of which were planned and some not planned). With each transition came various degrees of loss of information, leading to us needing to rehash details or provide screenshots of previous conversations in order to move forward with things that had already been promised to us (if working with The Ray, ensure everything is documented in writing). To make things worse, it was very common to not hear back from our points of contact for a week or two at a time, even after multiple followups. We even went 1 week+ without responses when we were only two weeks out from the wedding weekend. These organizational and communication issues were consistent amongst nearly all team members. We regularly had to break things out and organize separate details ourselves so The Ray team would understand and address each individual detail. All of this led to a lot of unnecessary worry and us temporarily losing confidence in the hotel’s ability to pull off a successful event. Although the few minor errors that did appear during the wedding weekend could have been avoided, most things came together in the end. The issues seem to all be fixable, and we hope The Ray does improve to allow future couples to enjoy the amazing venue with fewer headaches than we had.
