I stayed at the Hampton Inn Delray Beach recently while 8 months pregnant and in town for a baby shower, and unfortunately my experience with the front desk staff was very disappointing. I called around 8 AM to kindly ask if early check-in might be possible. I spoke with a woman named Robin, who immediately told me they could not accommodate any early check-ins. I explained that some of my family members with reservations couldn’t make it due to the government shutdown and TSA issues, so I wondered if any rooms might now be available. Before I could even finish, she cut me off and snapped that I “don’t know their system” and shouldn’t tell her what the hotel can or can’t do. We had been on the phone for less than 30 seconds, and she was already rude, raised her voice at me, and dismissive. When I asked to speak to a manager, she refused. Given how harsh the response was over the phone, I waited until 1 PM to go in person to see if a room might be ready. When I asked someone at the front desk, she rolled her eyes at me for even asking. It felt incredibly unwelcoming. Overall, the hotel itself may be fine, but the customer service we encountered, from multiple staff members, was unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude. As someone traveling while heavily pregnant, I expected at least a basic level of courtesy, and unfortunately that was not the experience here.

This is the place to stay in Delray Beach. It’s in a great location, just a couple blocks to the main area where there are shops and restaurants. There is free breakfast every morning. I love the waffles!! The hotel was clean, the staff members were friendly and helpful, everything was perfect. We stayed on the 4th floor and had a balcony with an awesome view. Definitely recommend
