I had a few issues with my stay. 1. Shuttle drivers. They made me wait over 1 hour. Communication between drivers and hotel is terrible. They also run every stop sign, maybe trucks need to be tracked. 2. Rooms water pressure are way to low For the shower, it was very difficult to take a proper shower. 3. Food cross contamination. Utensils are shared for everything. Same ones for eggs , non meat and vegetables. Cheese are with the ham in same dish, and touching , and same utensils also. They needs to be a better way to keep cross contamination down.

If I pay to park there, your employees should know how to handle it. It was a poor experience. I have reported to the airport parking site.

Rooms are dated, with lumpy mattresses & pillows and bedding that is threadbare & doesn't stay on the mattress. Posted elevator certifications are 4 months out of date. Shuttle pick up from airport is not prompt. Have stayed at Home2 Suites elsewhere and this location absolutely does not live up to standards.

Update: The loser manager of the hotel denied that any of our complaints were true and refused to do anything even after we complain to corporate. Their Hilton guarantee is a joke! This place needs a lot of work and I would not come back unless I knew everything was resolved. The good: Excellent location, easy to get on i95 to go anywhere. The Fort Lauderdale airport and Port Everglades are both and 10 minutes away. There are restaurants in the area, but not necessarily in walking distance. Rooms are a great size and layout. Kitchen is a great size and very functional, with one exception (see below about the refrigerator doors). The curtain that divides the room is a joke. It is slightly see through, so light easily passes through and it doesn't span the entire room. The breakfast was pretty good. My 5 and 6yr old loved it. They had 2 waffle makers, oatmeal with a lot of toppings, 3 kinds of cereal with milk, premade eggs that were in the shape of a disc some days or folded over like a taco, with either cheese, plain, or with red/green bell peppers. Sausage patties, chicken patties, turkey bacon (never real bacon), burritos. Those things changed each day, except there were always some sort of eggs and I always saw sausage. But for example there was only turkey bacon one of the 3 days I was there. They also had every day biscuits, bagels and toast with a conveyor toaster. Apple, Orange, and Strawberry juice. Finally, there was quite a bit of sitting areas for the breakfast, but it was get pretty busy around 8:00. Breakfast times are M-F 6-9:00 and Sat & Sun 7-10:00. I was there over Thanksgiving for 3 nights and never had a problem parking, BUT I was back at the Hotel by 8:30. Two of the mornings I noticed that there wasn't a single parking space available and people had parked on the edges of every curb there was, in the drive under at the front, and even along the curb on the street. This may be something that rarely occurs though. The third morning which was Saturday, there were several spaces available when I went out at 6:15 while it was still dark. The overall look of the lobby, hallways, and exterior were nice and in good condition. The outside looked well maintained, but the grassy areas needed to be mowed. Definitely didn't look like it was mowed on a weekly basis. If you have a dog, there was ample area to walk them and they provide bags and a trash can on each end if the property to pick up the terds. The gym was decent, it had 3 treadmills, one recombent bike, one Peleton, dumbbells from 10lbs to 50lbs in 5lb increments. A workout machine with the weights that you change by moving a pin. A lot of kids kept coming in and we're messing around in the treadmill or trying to lift weights. The pool was decent with a little waterfall. It was NOT heated though and I couldn't believe they allow SMOKING on the back patio which is right next to the pool! The issues that will make not come back. 1. Left elevator was broken for entire 3 night stay, yet it never had an Out Of Order sign on it. Complained to front desk 3 times about this. Witnessed many pepple standing waiting for broken elevator. Still nothing done about it. 2. Exit door from South stairwell does not shut properly. Found it unlatched several times late at night. This is very unsafe. 3. Hole next to A/C unit with piece of carpet covering it. 4. Refrigerator doors open towards the kitchen, instead of towards the door to the suite. This is awkward and inconvenient. 5. Checked in using the app and chose room 608. I then called the day of arrival and asked for an early check in, which was granted. When I got to the room and tried to enter I noticed on the digital key the room was changed to 609. I called the front desk and they said "well the room is not guaranteed." This could have been explained in about 20 seconds when I called about early check in. 6. Kitchen sink cabinet bottom was really beat up and missing the wood grain finish. Looked terrible. 7. Kitchen sink faucet needed to be replaced, it was nearly impossible to get hot water.
