We have stayed here 3 years in a row for an event out at the Pasco County Fairgrounds. Last year (2024) a couple of hurricanes had came through the area so we expected things to not be perfect. The elevator was broke our entire stay, ice machine didn’t work and neither did the washing machine. The flaws were easier to accept, despite being a very big inconvenience due to the recent storms. They at least offered to help get our luggage up and down the stairs. I was having hip surgery in a couple of weeks. Then come this year (2025). We decided to stay here again despite the issues last year. We were on the 3rd floor this year. Everything was going ok until the elevator started acting up on Saturday. Sunday it was off and on working then by Monday morning it was completely broken. The ice machine didn’t work on a couple of floors. The garbage by the elevators didn’t get changed for 3 days despite being very full. No offer of assistance to help with our luggage down the steps and no sympathy or care about these issues. Very poor quality from a Hilton Hotel and the amount of money we spent to stay here. We bring 4-5 other couples with us for this event and will be looking at other Hotels for 2026. Bug Jam participants beware of these issues before booking your stay.

Spent a nice quiet night at the Hampton Inn - Zephyrhills. We had a large and clean room. The free breakfast was good and the service area was very clean.

We have a family of elephants staying above us. You can hear every foot step and they are treating the room like a treadmill. It shakes the pictures on the walls. You can hear a mosquito fart in this place.

Only problem was the elevator. My elderly parents stayed and weren’t able to walk the stairs easily. I know they worked on it the whole time they stayed. It’s not their fault but it did take away from the comfort of staying here. Otherwise than this issue with the elevator breaking down and not being fixed completely, they enjoyed their stay and the food was amazing. The place was very clean and courteous and respectful staff.

My recent one-night stay at this hotel was profoundly disappointing and unacceptable, especially considering I booked through a website that specializes in pet-friendly accommodations. The hotel's designation as "pet-friendly" is a complete fabrication, and the staff treated me and my dog with immediate hostility. From the moment I arrived, the staff was rude and dismissive. The entire check-in process was a disaster, as no one provided any information whatsoever regarding basic accommodations for my pet—specifically, where I could walk him or what areas were designated for dog care. It felt as though my dog was a major imposition from the start, a feeling compounded by the constant judgmental looks and audible comments made by staff members throughout the evening about the mere fact that I had a dog with me. The worst offense, however, occurred the morning after my stay. My dog is not prone to barking; he only reacts when something genuinely disrupts his environment. On this particular night, a family was in the hallway going back and forth, shouting, and making a significant amount of noise until nearly 6 a.m. My dog reacted to this disturbance, as any protective dog would. Rather than addressing the extremely loud human guests who caused a disturbance all night, the staff chose to single me out the following morning. I was chastised like a child and berated about my dog’s barking, with the staff complaining about potential bad reviews from other guests. I have to wonder: Did the family making noise and disrupting sleep for hours receive similar treatment first thing in the morning? I highly doubt it. Overall, the hotel was not particularly clean, the 'hot breakfast' offered was cold and poorly prepared, and the staff was consistently unfriendly and unprofessional. I was made to feel unwelcome and penalized for using the "pet-friendly" service they supposedly offer. I will absolutely not be staying at this hotel again, nor would I ever recommend it to any of my pet-owning friends or family—or, frankly, anyone at all.
