Endless mold. Avoid this hotel. Checked in and immediately discovered the room was saturated with a strong mold smell. Not subtle. Not questionable. Overpowering the moment the door opened. It was clearly not a room fit for occupancy. We went straight back to the front desk. The staff required us to bring all luggage back downstairs and fully vacate the room before discussing options. We complied. A staff member then gave us two options: move to another room or receive a full refund. We chose the refund. That option was explicitly offered and accepted. Later, the hotel refused to authorize the refund. Hotels.com denied the refund because the hotel would not approve it. When calling the property again, another employee confirmed the refund was rejected because the manager was not present at the time and that we would need to call back during weekday hours. In other words, they reversed their position after the fact. As of now this is 4 calls in and they are still not done. This was a health issue, not a preference. Mold is unacceptable. The handling of this situation was misleading and unprofessional. Poor maintenance, evasive management, and zero accountability. The Hilton brand should be embarrassed to have its name on this property.

My husband and I stayed at The Hilton Garden Inn On Congress Ave for over 2 1/2 months. Our accommodations were great, we had a very spacious and comfortable room and bathroom and most comfortable bed, we slept like we were at home. We had good internet connection at all times. The staff consistently accommodated us in every way for our comfort and whatever our stated needs throughout our stay. In particular, the manager Gee was always available and very helpful to us and overall his staff and their efforts to please us, whether housekeeping at every time of the day, an extra refrigerator and extra daily towels to accommodate our special needs and dietary needs, they allowed us to setup the room and bring what we needed from home and truly made us feel welcome and relaxed in our home away from home. Without hesitation, we both highly recommend the hotel and the staff.

I Needed a last minute hotel in a pinch, this is an average hotel, nothing special, amenities were lacking but the 2 front desk gentleman made it 5 star. The man who checked me in was very nice and friendly and helpful. I wish I got his name. Also I believe the second guy his name was Kyle W. Also very kind and helpful. I basically stayed in my room but my interactions with just these 2 were very nice. Really made a difference in my stay.

Kyle at the front desk is very helpful, as are the other people who work there, but I didn't like that breakfast wasn't included. I also didn't like the way the woman at breakfast asked me which room I was in and how many people the breakfast was for. I've stayed at other hotels and they offer breakfast as part of the stay. I would like to give them a higher rating, especially because of Kyle and his team, but I didn't like the way they asked me to pay for breakfast.

While travelling for work, the room was booked through my company, using a company card. Upon check-in, the clerk stated that he needed a card on file for incidentals. He specifically stated that this would be charged $50 a night (3 nights, $150 in total) and refunded after the stay. I provided him my personal card for this. I then received a bill for the entire stay on my personal card. When I called the hotel to have it moved to the company card on file, the "General Manager" stated that now an authorization form would be needed to reverse the charges and move it to the company card. He did not provide any information on how to do this and then hung up on me. Terrible customer service.
