Clean hotel is a good location.
Unfortunately terrible breakfast.
When I asked if fresh egg will be served, the response was "this what just how eggs supposed to look".

I am truly disappointed with the management at the Hampton Inn and Suites Alachua. I have a group of students who are coming in for an event in 1 week. After reaching out to the groups department 7 days ago, I was given a rate of $149 per room and told that they had 10 - 2 Queen rooms for our group. After emailing them back that same day to confirm the rate and the rooms, I had to wait another 2 days to get anyone to return my calls or emails. 5 emails, 5 calls and several voicemails later I finally got an actual person on the phone.
Once I got the groups department on the phone, I was told that not only did they not have the rooms that they offered me, but they were changing the rate from $149 to $225 per room because the rates had gone up and they would no longer honor the rate we agreed on.
I have never had a hotel give me a quote and then change the cost of the rooms because they wanted to make a bigger profit.
After 3.5 hours of back and forth today I asked to speak to the head manager about the situation. I never heard back from the manager. I waited until 4pm and I found another hotel for my group.
After I found a new hotel, I received an email from the groups department stating that they are now offering me the rooms for $185, 4 hours later, but the rate is still $40 more than our original rate.
Honoring an agreed upon price for a new customer is more important than inflating your hotel prices.
Be careful when choosing this hotel, especially when working with a group.

So disappointed! The Friday night room stay was $400, we were not told about this over charge. The room was not cleaned in the 4 nights we were there. We had to wait upon arrival Tuesday at 7:00pm because the
Rooms were not ready. . There was a very large roach on the 4th floor near the ice machine.
We do not recommend this hotel and will NEVER stay there again. For a Hilton Hotel, it was below average. $400 for Friday was a big suprise. They should make sure to inform customers upon making the reservation. Very upsetting!

My partner and I visited this location foe a wedding. We were greeted by Aylssa that had great recommendations to grab a quick swimsuit for the heated pool. The hallways smelled clean and breakfast was ok. Our room was excellent! Clean spacious and the greeting on the tv was a nice touch. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

What a great experience, not just once, but twice! I stayed here 2-3 years ago with my students for a tournament, and when we had to come back this year, I knew exactly where we were going to stay! This hotel and the staff were so accommodating to a public school group, which has very specific ways we can and can not pay for hotels. The staff here bent over backwards to help us with this.
Even though we arrived before check in, Brian was able to get all of our rooms ready early so my students could get dressed for their tournament that night. He had such an amazing report, making my students laugh and feel at home. He also gave them some Halloween treats! The rest of the staff was amazing and allowed me to host a mini Halloween pizza party for my students at 9pm in the lobby, since they missed out on all Halloween festivities.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great (Brian hooked us up with the cinnamon roll waffle batter our second morning there, and it was a HIT!). I do wish there was more fruit available, but my teenagers were very happy with the waffles, sausages, and other goodies.
Overall, this property is a Hampton Inn gem. I wish we had this experience every time we travel!
