I would like to give this positive review not just for the Hampton Inn, But specifically for the front desk clerk named Ashley, who is working a Saturday night shift when she answered my phone call.
I had just made a reservation through priceline.com and they had somehow switched the date from that night to two weeks ahead. I immediately called the Hampton Inn to cancel and they referred me to call Priceline. I called Priceline. They told me to call Hampton Inn to get the approval to cancel with refund.
Ashley answer the phone and told me that I was not eligible for a refund because of Ridiculous policy that were stated by Priceline. Mind you I just made the reservation five minutes prior.
Ashley tried her best to explain the policy to me in a Calm professional manner. However, I work in an ER. I had just gotten off a double shift when the Sprinkler system in our apartment, broke and flooded us out, causing us to be displaced. Hence the need for a hotel room.
I was not pleasant to Ashley in any way shape or form. However, Ashley maintained her professional decorum, her personal integrity and represented her employer exquisitely.
If there had been a customer in front of her while she was on the phone with me, they would not have had any idea that she was dealing with an irate idiot.
Ashley took her customer facing role seriously and should be recognized within that organization.
Yes, she was simply doing her job the way it should be done, however, in a world that completely lacks proper customer service it was something that should be not only noticed but modeled
Thank your Hampton Inn.

I originally gave a 1 star review because there wasn’t a microwave in the room…. Well, they must have read the review because I came back to my room today and there was literally a brand new microwave sitting on the desk for me! I couldn’t help but to laugh 😅
Honestly, that’s gotta be some of the best customer service experience I’ve ever had. 5 stars well earned!!
